Even Android has an app kill switch, there's a huge backlash every time one is used inappropriately. You may be a little paranoid...I'm guessing Nintendo won't implement mandatory auto updates, mainly because of practical reasons. The user knows if it's a good time to update more than the system...
Maciek hasn't said anything about his project in quite a while, we really could use his direct open source driver...
The DSi has a couple exploits, http://dsibrew.org/wiki/DSi_exploits - but I don't think people are that interested in it. They aren't exactly flashcart-friendly.
If they really...
The line supports ES1.1 and apparently a range of ES2.0-like features which are accessed directly hopefully greatly bumping up the efficiency of programs running on it. Hopefully they'll give a complete breakdown at TGS and we won't have to wait for an actual unit to get torn down.
I'm...
I think he means like (Exciting open source stuff) -> "Definitely possible on Pandora!" meaning there would be a community large enough to actually provide the ports instead of the (heroic) efforts of 4 or 5 guys.
That's to everybody, not just OEMs and manufacturers: http://www.makershed.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=MKPQ01
10.1", guaranteed to work in the Samsung N130 and Lenovo S10-2, can work in other models. Can't wait to see the projects made with this, beagleboard-based e-book reader/tablet...
Damn those calculators look impressive, but how would they stack up to software like GraphCalc? http://www.graphcalc.com/ It says 'Windows', but it's open source: http://sourceforge.net/projects/gcalc/ - Nice 3D graphs but I can only guess at how much functionality it doesn't have that those TI...
USB slave/mass storage on the OTG, so a PC can see at least the Pandora SD cards

XMBC is already being worked on for BB, http://xbmc.org/topfs2/2010/05/24/beagleboard-project-for-gsoc-2010/ - but if this dude needs any extra incentive
Other OS, like the Ubuntu Netbook Launcher or Meego...
3pm EST, 1.5 hours from now. Unless Sony pulls outsomething amazing, Nintendo definitely won the show. Those Kid Icarus graphics were at least GC level. Looks like the Pandora won't be the only mobile device I'm using...
I hear the bottom is very easy to remove, you could theoretically check the connection of the LCD ribbon cable yourself. I've had the same problem on a DS that had a broken ribbon cable.
Sold and VRAndy are probably right, you only get one or maybe (if lucky) two articles on a big network, best to do it when there are Pandora actually available for purchase as to not waste the coverage.
If that means what I think it means (and it would explain why my second payment confirmation after the credit card mess was a higher number), that's pretty shit. It was a fair amount of work trying to get Xoom working (which it never did), finally sending a money order because I didn't want to...
Handbrake is what I use as well, if you don't want to lose anything on the audio you could use passthrough. Since DVDs usually use an AC-3 (Dolby Digital) or a DTS stream, both which are lossy, you could see how your rips fare (size-wise) with passthrough.
Really hope this is implemented soon. A rather important function, especially for me as I have a 16GB SDHC card (bought two years ago T_T ) for my Pandora, and no SDHC card reader. (..or Pandora)
H.264 I get, but why FLAC audio instead of the standard MP3, AAC or even OGG? And from what kind of source? The requirement for FLAC audio is severely limiting your options.
Am I the only one to have pixelated video with VLC compared to MPC? For instance
VLC: http://imgur.com/0eUMZ.png
MPC-HC: http://imgur.com/lf5dq.jpg
You might lose a tiny bit of detail, but pixelation is incredibly distracting. None of the VLC filters are as good as MPC's.
