What are you playing this weekend/these days?

I have to resist the obvious "like your mom" joke. Cool, I get that is where SM64DS got it from. It certainly was not in SM64.

Or my underwear might just be very loose or also have holes in it. You may never know.

I have heard of that and it makes sense to me. I guess it is kind of like how DS graphics look terrible on big screens. It causes your pixels to show. Sometimes that is even worse than when your balls are showing. And I have worn pants with holes in it so I know. But what is the point of...

Why do you do that? I thought scanline emulation was just to make things like the NES Zapper work.

I played Frogatto a few days ago. It was pretty cool. I also like Bounce, the accelerometer and 3D graphics demo for the N900. The game is unfortunately very short but what you get is pretty good. It is played solely by accelerometer and is 3D. This game is a perfect test and training for body...

    The Communication Cube

Like printers. At least one can stick to old cars and old phones to avoid these kind of anti-features in those products. I like to use technologies from the respective eras where the industries were advanced enough to be able to make good features but too primitive to make good (for them)...

Google is the "Don't do evil" company. So they must be trustworthy. All they want is for us to be happy and safe. They do not collect a lot of data about us and the little data that they do collect is only for improving our experiences with Google products so that our lives will be enriched. I...

Gold points are too good too last. Seriously though, why would such points expire? It seems to me that due to inflation, it would be good for them if customers cash in late. Those €30 are going to have less value the more time passes. We as customers are responsible for keeping that in check...

That seems a little harsh. If he paid for it, then it is his device, not Nintendo's. I know that you can never own Windows even if you "buy" it, but that should not apply to hardware. It is scummy for software, doing it with hardware would be even worse. But I do not support Nintendo anymore...

Too bad Nintendo dislikes home brewers so much. I sometimes read the Bible on my DS using criminal (according to Nintendo, probably) flashcard hardware. Being pious has never been so criminal.

Wii was nice but was ruined by "security updates" which were meant to "protect" the Wii user against having control over their Wii. My sympathies go out to those who got their Wii demoted from true computer to toddler's toy. Personally, I think the N900 is good enough for games. It can run...

    Finally, a bit more news!

So does that mean the Pyra may have suspend-to-RAM in the future? Or is it referring to some other kind of low-power mode?

    Pyra versus Pinephone Pro

Librem 5 may be worth considering, too. They are pretty expensive now but they are really usable. I like them.

One the one hand I like 32-bit ARM, on the other hand I also like having a chip that is capable of suspend-to-ram and more speed for less heat is always better. Hopefully the new chip, if it comes, does not contain something like the IME.

The copper looks better than I expected. It reminds me of bullion. It is also quite unique. I have a lot of ultra portable computers and black is a common colour among them but none of them are copper. But can I get a real copper one? Copper would make the Pyra a better investment than painted...
