Yeah, that company seems to be quite sensitive about not increasung the power density of those batteries to a level that hurts them.
Many manufacturers make bad batteries just to get those 10% or 20% more Wh into them.
Makes them ook nice on paper but die quickly.
From what I can tell, GPD also...
Nubs: They are a weak point. Unfortunately we do not have new ones any more to offer replacements.
Try to get in some Isopropanol/Alcohol/Contact spray and wiggle them. Maybe that helps.
Battery:
The Pandora has the best battery I have ever seen. During all the time I worked at the Pandora...
I agree. NATO and especially Germans act quite cowardly.
Ukraine could have kicked out the Russians easily if we provided them with proper weapons right from the beginning.
I have huge respect for France these days.
Using the Pandora at University as my main companion was the most I ever enjoyed an electronic device.
The vague hope that I can get back this feeling some day is the only reason why I am still dedicated to the Pyra.
I would not be so sure about that. At least ED does not think like that currently ;)

What the Pyra needs is a refresh that cleans up all the complicated stuff so that a lot of things just work and not so much work needs to be done.
We should sell it as a UMPC first, gaming device second.
As a ultra portable PC it is still one of a kind.
If the software was optimized to have some real standby and we could use the Pyra as an always on mini PC that would be so cool.
If everything worked as intended, we would still have a one...
I am strictly talking about thumb typing here.
If I want portability only, I have a GPD-device.
Is there a bluetooth keyboard that lets you thumb type on a smartphone?
I liked taking the Pyra out on a walk, sit down in nature and do read/write a little.
It's all about excellent thumb typing for...
A smartphone has no keyboard. Good luck programming or typing more than just a few sentences on it.
I wrote about a third of my Bachelor's Thesis on the Pyra because typing is so good on it.
Let's stay positive everyone :)
Even if I might sound quite negative, I still think that the Pyra is in the best spot for years.
I finally have time to do dedicated Pyra work that is more than just occasional hobby work.
So the production will go on faster than ever I hope.
Maybe it will not...
First we need to see how long it will take to deliver all preorders.
It depends on how many parts after that we still have in stock.
Probably a new SoC and house redesign.
If we just make a Rockhicp SoC replacement, that would be a nice upgrade.
What is holding us back so much is the OMAP 5...
Produce as many Pryas as quickly as possible.
That is most crucial in my opinion.
Second would be to stop the overly pedantic OS management trying to make everything super perfect which leads to a stand still.
I wanted to contribute twice. Once during the early days and just now.
It is even...
It was great for the Pandora.
Regarding the Pyra, it's not like there is much community left to build software around one system.
It all died. Maybe People will come back once more Pyras are out.
The big issue is armhf since most 3rd party repos dropped deb support for armhf and only provide 64...
