Thanks. I knew that I did something to fix the icons. That was it.

Why? This whole order number thing slows down everything. We should produce them in batches. Like 50 EU black and then send out to the next 50 EU black orders. Going customer by customer is way to inefficient. Also what benefit does anyone have if devs get stalled out? None IMO. With that many...

It probably makes sense to check who has ordered a Pyra and is capable and willing to help. If I had to decide, I'd send out those Pyras as soon as possible. We should not let this stupid order number system get in our way. It's not like this would affect 50 units, probably 5 at max. So if...

The Rise of Pyra - A story about the past 6 months

Today is hardware day once more. The plan is to put all the remaining EU LTE mainboards into black housings and build as many EU Pyras as I have mainboards for. There are still a few open orders from several months ago caused by a shortage of black housings.

I added "standby" to the list. AFAIK there is no working solution for any sort of standby. At least not on Debian 12.

Man, this is super valuable information. Thank you. It will save me a lot of time once I am back to investigating the LTE issue.

As far as I know, we do both. Even 100% is not 100% charged. We should investigate that. From what I remember, our battery is not loaded fully if charged to 100%. 100% charge is not as harmful as some thing as long as the current is not kept forever. The batteries degrade because if charged...

Update. Added the following to the charging section 2. Almost no charging beyond 85% Once we hit 85%, the charging rate drops to an absolute minimum and pretty much never reaches beyond 90%. This is probably some old implementation to conserve battery health by not having it charged to 100% all...

    LeTux OS

This is more that what we got. For us, the installer failed. Maybe there was some update within the last few months since we have tried. It is great news that you were able to get it to boot. I do not call this a failure. It most likely does not have funkeymonkey/pyrainput, so it is natural...

The story of how to bring back _ and : on Debian 12 Bookworm (Download provided)

Okay, finally I got bothered by this once more. I finally found a solution to this issue that solves the problem in a clean way. No touching of system packages, no systemd hacks or whatever. I finally figured out how to get the xkb symbol name for any keycode I want. This new method requires...

Okay, good to know. Thanks. Yeah, do the clean reflash first. I had issues upgrading from 10 -> 11 -> 12.

Do not use the pyra-dev channel. I have no idea why that one still exists. The only relevant one is the #pyra channel, since that one hsa the IRC brige applied to it.

Okay, confirmed. I guess neither ED nor I were aware of this. Great, I will mark this as fixed :) Out of total ignorance, how do I manually set a frequency? How do I set a maximum frequency? Can I limit my SoC to let's say 1GHz but still allow the steps below?

Initiative Aims To Require EU Game Publishers To Make Retired Games Playable

Exactly that. There are som many stories about smart home devices simply not working any more because the company behind it decides to "upgrade" their standard and kick your deperfectly fine old device out of service. I never understood how people bought hardware products that rely on an...

That's a tough one. Good luck :) If you want to test LeTux, here is an installer. Maybe you can figure out something. https://projects.goldelico.com/p/gta04-makesd/ I added the link to the installer to the main post.

Initiative Aims To Require EU Game Publishers To Make Retired Games Playable

This is all mostly a legal grey area. It would be great if there was a legal foundation for it. Also some games that have an in game shop for skins or weapons or whatever are usually not covered. Talking of al the MOBA games here. I do not invest in those because it all could be gone in a second...

At the time of writing this, I am working hard on the hardware side to finally get the Pyra production up and running again. However, there is also a lot of work that needs to be done on the software side. First, there are several issues that never got fixed since the beginning, Second, Debian...

Regarding software. I will make an other topic that collects all the issues I am aware of. I plan to update that regularly if fixes are being pushed or someone points out a new issue to me.
