    GPD P2 Max - Announced

I have an old Core i5 Laptop running Amilator as my main Amiga gaming machine, with a Joystick attached to that. But all my Speccy emulation is done with keys - QAOPM FTW :)

    Super Mario Bros on C64

Last I looked, Nintendo still is a company making a 2D scrolling platformer. But anyway. I would probably have killed for a copy of Giana on the Speccy, but unfortunately Ninty pulled their douche routine before it could be released.

    Super Mario Bros on C64

Indeed, and when someone else made a game similar to those mechanics (but using absolutely none of Nintendo's IP) they came down hard on it.

It's great for gaming. It's not great for running retropie's UI nor is it great for terminal work which needs to be done from time to time.

I'm gonna pass - I'm waiting to see what the RS2 is like. I have the first version and it's really nice - but needs some improvement. It's not as tall as the original Gameboy, and if it were a similar proportion then there would be room for a bigger battery. And of course the screen needs to be...

    Super Mario Bros on C64

Of course they are. That's what they do. What makes me chuckle is that people think "you know, SMB was a really great game, I'll port that to <old, commercially dead platform>" and then the whole community goes nuts when Nintendo say "Nah bruh, you not do that" like they have every single time...

    GPD P2 Max - Announced

Yeah, now I see it side by side, it's way too big. Another pass from me, confirmed. It's a shame, as I love the Pocket 1.

    Pandora PNDManager

PNDManager hasn't been able to update any of my PNDs for years now. I've since pretty much stopped using my Pandora and I had been doing manual updates for a while when I did.

Anyone else here played No Man's Sky yet?

The game is bloody lovely. I mean, I liked it back when it was released - but now? Wow. It's just fantastic. And the VR is gonna be absolutely wonderful.

    Super Mario Bros on C64

Money isn't the point here. Back in the 80s, Nintendo saw a company making a game that was a horizontal scrolling platformer collecting stuff and jumping on other stuff to kill it, while collecting a certain power up which made things easier which could be progressed once further for the most...

    Super Mario Bros on C64

Tbh, if this was me and there was a very good chance (and this is Ninty; there bloody well is) that I'd get shut down then I'd publicly release the source as well as the binaries. That way I can continue to develop and leak new versions anonymously and no bugger could prove it :)

    GPD P2 Max - Announced

Indeed ED, and they have a very sexy looking red model too. I've considered jumping in on that one for a while now, but I think I'll wait to see what GPD produce next. hopefully they'll get back in my good books with a UMPC I actually want. Otherwise, I fear that I shall have to get a Pyra when...

    GPD P2 Max - Announced

It's another hard pass from me. I picked up the Pocket 1, and it's great barring some pretty huge flaws - bugs in the intel gfx drivers mean that you only get half a display in DirectX and (what was) GDI fullscreen modes, so emulation is broken for quite a few systems. The screen is way too...

    Super Mario Bros on C64

Well they did the same to Giana Sisters back in the day, so it's not really surprising.

    How do you pronounce GIF?

But I pronounce JIT with a hard J.

Indeed. I guess we'll see what the successor kickstarter brings. I'm not hopeful, though.

    RetroStone

Not quite - the screen has literally only 320 by 240 pixels. The display has to be downscaled or it simply won't fit. As far as I can tell the screen's controller board does the downscaling.

    RetroStone

No, it's a function of the physical properties of the screen.
