All you've got across is that you're out to bore us all to death. I guess most people have stopped reading what you say cause it's kind of getting repetitive. Remind us, is it the extra week that you have to wait, or the fact that you can't sell your units on ebay for a big profit any more that...
Most of us are probably quite amazed that you think these questions are worth getting so wound up by. We don't actually give a monkeys what the answer is so long as it stops you asking questions. It's done now anyway.
You can make the shadows more natural by using more than one light source, and using lights that are not sharp points (with a sheet of paper in front, or a window). I think a little shadow is often good, and it is probably important to be able to see that it is a photo rather than a render...
If the price is too high for the original poster, he can take the ebay route, with 4000 in circulation soon, there will always be a few people who get bored or need to sell - and used ones ought to come in a little cheaper. This is of course also the real test of how real the price is.
You miss the point completely with standby mode. No multi-tasking smartphone OS handles standby well at the moment. Android on my Toshiba tablet is just the same. From my perspective, none of your issues are particularly important priorities to work on, but I guess they will improve eventually.
You realise there is a feature in the PND system to handle this?

(although this section is missing the detail at the moment)

The pattern seems to be that batches of pandoras get sent out about once a week, but only a very small fraction of those shipped (particularly the non-premium orders) are getting repoted on the forums.
I remember now - I was going to fix it, but ended up not being able to trace through the power management code (which is I think a bit of a hack anyway)
I'll wiki the workaround.
Don't put too much store on the class rating - I don't think it is very representative as a general purpose speed benchmark except for when you need to fill the whole card. Biggest risk with these cheap cards is that they might be more likely to expire after a few months use.
Sounds to me like there might be a problem with the charging circuit, possibly related to your original charger expiring.
There was at one point a problem (now fixed) where if the charger wasn't detected, the OS would shut down the system if it booted up with less than 1% (or 5%, can't...
Looks like we are getting quite close to the end of the first day with units that shipped on 14th Feb. Great news for everyone else still waiting if we start to see order dates moving through Oct and into 2009!
one fast, one big is my strategy, up till now, I only have 16Gb cards (except for a 16 in my phone, and some old 2/4 ones for the cameras).
16GB wasn't enough for all my music...
Overclocking is assumed to be safe - the worst that can happen is a lock-up, and you need to reset. Over Volting is a different matter - for me, OPP5 doesn't seem to give a significant improvement in max speed (maybe a few 10s MHz), so I stick with OPP4. (and OPP4/5 do shorten the lifetime -...
The pandora is configured to take 500ma, as it says on the wiki. Since runtime current varies between 300-600ma, it may or may not charge - but it is safe.
