Running Android Apps in Pyra OS

A Mupen64plus that actually runs Bomberman 64 would guarantee my pre-order. -God Ginrai

    And suddenly it works.

It would be more accurate to claim it is a potential heating issue rather than denying that there is one. -God Ginrai

    And suddenly it works.

This is the best thing I've heard in a while. I always hated that the Pandora didn't have a charging microkernel. Here's hoping you find a good heat dissipation solution. -God Ginrai

    Preparing for a Prototype

I can't speak for Sprint and US Cellular, but Verizon's LTE technology is actually based on GSM, not CDMA. They even have SIM cards and everything. Most older VZW 4G phones used GSM for data and CDMA for voice. With the introduction of VoLTE, they should have introduced a number of completely...

How will the battery be held in place?

Wasn't the whole massaging thing a way to deal with an expanded battery? The only reason you likely even had to do that in the first place is because the firmware used to allow overcharging. -God Ginrai

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

Well, I doubt ED would be jumping at every new SoC that comes his way simply because developing the new CPU board would require time and money that he couldn't invest unless he was convinced it would pay out. -God Ginrai

How will the battery be held in place?

I think the obvious solution is to just include one of those connectors like 9-volt batteries have. ;) -God Ginrai

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

They did (the A80), but ED didn't think that he would be able to get his hands on it soon enough for him to meet his development timeline for the Pyra. The two biggest reasons for the separate CPU board were users asking for x86 or the A80 instead of the OMAP5. I still hold hope for a stronger...

Running Android Apps in Pyra OS

Wouldn't something like GINGE (and its inspiration, WINE) be more efficient for trying to run Android apps on similar hardware? Or do you want actual sandboxed instances of android? -God Ginrai

    A Spectrum of Pyra Renders

Yup, that one's still my favorite.  Not that the Safety orange looks bad, but I don't think it compares to the charcoal/gunmetal one. -God Ginrai

Tournament Hub (C4A2?) Design and Plans

I would suggest making an API that launchers can use and have your launcher be a reference implementation. (like Weston for Wayland)  That way, other launchers can implement the same functionality. -God Ginrai

How to calculate a price for the Pyra

Americans pay other taxes so that we don't have to pay a tax like the VAT.  Our government is still getting that money, they're just getting it from our income tax, property tax, etc. instead of making people like EvilDragon collect it for them. -God Ginrai

    A date with the Pyra

Honestly, I don't think we're even in the position to worry about Android.  From what I can gather from comments from EvilDragon, Notaz, etc., there's an enormous amount of work that needs to be done on the OS side just to get the standard OS at an acceptable state for us. -God Ginrai

    A Spectrum of Pyra Renders

This is exactly what I intended.  Looks perfect. Hopefully this time around, this color gets used. (I suggested this for the Pandora's color back when it was still called "The Craiginator" on the forums) -God Ginrai

    Pyra NAND?

IIRC, We will have regular NAND, as well as a micro-SD (Accessible below the battery as a micro-SD+SIM double port) slot that we can switch between for the onboard storage. -God Ginrai
