Just found out about this thanks to the thread. Found it in my junk folder like everyone else. Went Dark Chrome and adapter. Survey count: 650.

Agreed. We can handle things like getting games and emulators ported. The updates I want to see are the ones that bring the system to a stable and working image. The closer he brings the system to that, the more thankful we should be.

Indeed. That's why I qualified my Pandora calculation with "that users were aware of". But both of these are estimations of how long users have been waiting, even if the Pandora had some development before users were aware. In many ways, comparing the Pyra's development to the Pandora's is...
ED rebooted the Pandora post-release. That's not the equivalent time period to this pre-release timeline.
The Pandora discussions that the users were aware of started in 2007 and the release was in 2010, so the time users waited was about 3 years before the product was released. The Pyra has...
Is there a way to know my place in line based on the order confirmation I received back when I pre-ordered? Also, I just realized that I pre-ordered the console back when I lived at a different address, so I wanted to know what I needed to do to change that address to the correct one.

IIRC, plenty of developers got early access to the GP2X. Additionally, there were developers who got early Pandoras. I don't see why we can't let someone who can help us to have a better initial end-user experience have a go at it before we get our systems.

@EvilDragon The Dark Chrome looks almost exactly like what I want in the images, but looks brighter in the video. Can you explain to me if it looks darker than the gray area on the back of the original 3DS you showed in that video?

I think reality is something you need to face. The Pandora wasn't a failure. Did you own one? Because I don't see how you could say it was a failure if you did. I understand your concerns w/ how long the Pyra has taken; Even I can't help but feel like things somehow felt more organized back...
To be fully honest? They were thinking like industry-leaders. (Which I wish they had done for the rest of the design of the Saturn)
That rough texture made the controllers great to hold, and the contrast between that texture and the glossy center of the controller created a nice two-tone...
The matte black does indeed look good, but I had a feeling that the coating was going to turn out well in the first place. Now that we have opened the door to coating, can we possibly have a better variety of choices? I'm still partial to a nice dark gray, as seen on this thumbdrive:
This...
Gotta say that this light-up logo is getting less and less appealing as things move onward. As someone who never wanted it in the first place, watching it go from a plastic logo as part of the back, to a gaudy metal stencil, now to plastic that you are applying to the system is honestly...
Yea, I definitely agree that we don't want that happening. I think it should be possible for us to get painted cases that don't have issues like this, but I definitely understand that concern, because that would definitely not be a good thing to have happen to a gaming handheld.
As an early...
Just to weigh in with my 2 cents:
We're not going to want the Pyra with the current level of software anyway, so there should be no reason why EvilDragon can't spend some time testing paints. That only gives ToastBucket and others more time to get the software working properly, which is not a...
The original reason for the internal microSD slot was so that we could boot our main OS from there if we didn't want to stress the NAND, so it should definitely be possible to boot from it. I'm not saying this should be top priority, (as things like getting the basic hardware and windowing...
