Killing roosters is bad because you don't use them to feed anyone (or do they?). On the plus side, they haven't consumed much food, so no that much impact, and they haven't been tortured for very long. Although I fear thye don't kill roosters in a compassionately way (if that means anything)...

But then the stronger party would start more wars, maybe ? So more shorter wars ? Anyway, we are already doing this. Stronger parties get away with much expoils just for fear by others that they start a war. Wars don't get shorter than submission before they start. And that's a daily commonplace...

Poor cats. The people I know with cats tend not to let them out, out of fear they'll get run over by a car, not to protect birds or other fauna. Their cats clearly think that's easy (for anyone not so retarded as a human): don't let the cars out. Little they know not letting vehicles out would...

As long as the paint is by the manufacturer instead of a random graffiter, it doesn't seem so terribly complex or expensive to compensate for. I think it's just lack of interest. Either that or someone tried to replicate the study and failed, or whatever. It won't probably work for night birds...

Well, I don't know for certain. I think I just took it from the article I linked to. Maybe it's as you say. Must be. But governments require eolical operators to monitor bird deaths, and painting seems very cheap. And they could get some good PR. I guess they already paint them white or gray or...

The more giant the wind mill the slower it turns and so the fewer birds it kills. But just painting a blade black would avoid 70% of bird deaths. That's been known for 30 moons, and nobody is doing it AFAICT. :(

The reason we're keeping old nuclear plants working even after it's safe it's just because it's too expensive to dismantle them. Dispersing the installations everywhere makes it still harder to manage the problems. A nuclear plant is just kicking problems down the road. It costs a lot to build...

Parlez vouz francaise? Or how to use our Linux Device for Learning Languages

Whatever floats your boat. Btw, are there videos or TV stations broadcasting DRMless in French (preferably with subtitles) to foreign citizens without registration ? I only know (part of) arte.fr. It's not so important to try dodging geoblocking or giving personal data or money.

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

I think you shouldn't post order numbers in public places. You may want to delete to stop others from impersonating you and getting your Pyra. Or maybe not, I don't know or decide how things work, just saying as I understand things, I might be wrong, but just in case... If I understand you...

Wanting to recover Ipod touch 4th gen on Linux box. Possible?

I'm just bluntly hijacking a thread on a DRM encumbered device with a link to Defective By Design campaign against DRM. 8th December is the International Day Against DRM and this year it focuses on public libraries suffering periodic quotes to pay for continuing to be able to lend digital works...

Wanting to recover Ipod touch 4th gen on Linux box. Possible?

From what I understand this means /home/user/Desktop doesn't exist (or root can't find it???) The error message says nothing about the device attempted to mount. "mount point" referers on where to put the access to the contents of the device. One typically tries /mnt and fancy desktop systems...

Wanting to recover Ipod touch 4th gen on Linux box. Possible?

No idea. Not even sure what the difference between an iPod and iPod touch is. Maybe take a look at Rockbox, but I have no idea if it works with your model, or if playing with it may lose data on the device... Maybe somethign to play with just before throwing your device to a recycle depot.

I don't work here and don't know how it all goes, but I think noone should post the order reference anywhere public. Now others could hijack your preorder. She just needs one seat. And she agrees with you, her seat is the only one needed. There're too many ministeries. I'm guessing the loneliness minister misses all cabinet meetings. She finds them overcrowded.
