    The Communication Cube

For me it always was to be avoided. There are too many reasons to list, but limiting speech to 180 characters, or 280 or whatever is so brain dead, that only that would be abhorrent. There're more things, but I may not be authorative because I never used it: polarisation, addiction...

The mysterious accident that happend to my pyra (at nighttime?)

Well, that's an opportunity for merchandising, what about a rubber jacket for the Pyra with integrated airbags ? :p

The mysterious accident that happend to my pyra (at nighttime?)

Thanks. I think I just meant tin solder. I got confused by "solder" being a noun and a verb at the same time. The word was easier that I was thinking.

The mysterious accident that happend to my pyra (at nighttime?)

Thanks for thy lesson. May I beg 3 questions for my further enlightenment ?: 1.- "turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should repay". So were those jailers customers of some BSDM business or how could torture repay any debt ? [EDIT: 1.b - "had the man thrown into prison until...

The mysterious accident that happend to my pyra (at nighttime?)

Which leaves as only open question, what would be an appropiate punishment for your girlfriend. I guess some fine is in order since Pyras are an endagered species... Either she pays you a dinner or she buys you a pinecil, soldering paste (Sn, what was the english word?), and insulating spray...

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

As the saying goes Dijkstra said "Computer Science is no more about computers than astronomy is about telescopes". But that quote is of course debated. The quote, date and authorship is debated, not the concept.

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

You got me started and now you'll have to stand my rambling: I'm fed up with people calling computing "new technologies". Does it happen in all languages ? Most people alive today are younger than computing, and there's not so much new stuff, just marketing and new truant schemes. (besides...

I wasn't understanding the sentence. Reuters may have edited the article meanwhile. I really didn't think they would attack the US directly. I mean to the USA land, but USA base abroad. When I heard this weekend that USA Navy ships in the Red sea were intercepting missiles heading to USA bases...

New copper cases are finally being assembled

People don't talk to the dead. And those who (think they) do, do it with a medium and a ouija (a very affirmative francogerman word, btw), not with an internet forum. Therefore I'm going to deduce you're being dishonest here, cat.

Building droidcam-cli from source on Pyra

I'm lost and clueless, so don't take me too serious, but has it correctly compiled file2alias.o ? Likewise for sumversion.o Might there be some other error previously in the build log that blocks that object file and then this is just a secondary consequence ?

Building droidcam-cli from source on Pyra

Did you try to add it to LD_LIBRARY_PATH ? I don't think /opt is in /etc/ld.so.conf.d/* in a normal Debian system ? maybe man ld.so man ldconfig

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

Do you mean the asteroid or the spacecraft ? I knew it was delayed and over budget, I just didn't know Pyra funds were diverted to a NASA mission.

Building droidcam-cli from source on Pyra

I usually build like a nonroot user and install as root. When I have built as root (with sudo) it often caused problems the next time I tried to build as normal user (output files created as root that the normal user can't replace/delete). But if you always do it as root I guess it doesn't...

    Absurdism corner

Thanks, because there are so many living beings that would have hatched eggs unless they read your warning. You've saved lots of time to all sorts of literate, oviparous broodies and some of their family members. No, according to the sign Nemangerpasment would pass better.

Building droidcam-cli from source on Pyra

Sorry, I mistyped "done". So no symlinks. I'm running out of ideas. Maybe just read the scripts you ran to build and install Droidcam (and linux-headers-5.6.19-daveiii-pyradef-aufs if you built it yourself) and see if there's some arch hardcoded there ? Or maybe someone else may know.

Building droidcam-cli from source on Pyra

    Can it be a wrong symlink in some of the directories in the path to /usr/src/linux-headers-5.6.19-daveiii-pyradef-aufs/scripts/basic/ ? F="/usr/src/linux-headers-5.6.19-daveiii-pyradef-aufs/scripts/basic/fixdep" ; while [ "$F" != "/" ] ; do { if [[ -L "$F" ]] ; then ls -ld "$F" ; fi ; F=`dirname...

    Absurdism corner

Hey, but you can't blame a spelling mistake on someone if the handwriting is bad enough. Did he write Mangement or Manajement or even Manojement, Menojement or Menajement? Es könnte auch Mengement sein, wenn eine Menge ist gemeint... Ein Fehler? Welche? Alles möglich...

Building droidcam-cli from source on Pyra

sounds right. Or maybe some build or install script you ran was written for amd64 and has some hardcode arch in package names or variables somewhere. maybe try dpkg -S /usr/src/linux-headers-5.6.19-daveiii-pyradef-aufs/scripts/basic/fixdep that should answer the name of the package that file...

Building droidcam-cli from source on Pyra

I don't know. Did you install some kernel headers manually for the wrong arch ? Or play with cross compiling ? In a normal debian I think fixdep is in linux-kbuild-* package. This is a dependency of linux-headers-* It should be an executable for the system you're using (arm64, I think). not...

New copper cases are finally being assembled

If it's where the lid slides in the compartment, do you know if the problem is excessive width or rather that the coating gives the lid excessive stiffness or something like that ? so that it doesn't flex so easily ? Not sure how knowing that would help really, but sometimes the part may have a...
