Release PCSX ReARMed, with a new GPU

chewdiggy: I tested the game and didn't see any glitches with the graphics of Rudy in battles in the first dungeon and I got no problems with the music in battle as well. Your problems can be caused by a flawed copy of the game you are using, because you maybe are using no bios-file...

    How to press DEL ?

According to the output of xev CTRL+ALT+backspace is indeed "Delete". And it's the only combination of the modifier-keys that I found to deliver that. Be warned: If you press CTRL+ALT+backspace in the filemanager/desktop, then the selected file(s) get deleted (as in "moved to the trash")...

    How to press DEL ?

On the ttys/consoles DEL (SHIFT+backspace or left_shoulderbutton+backspace) works for me: It deletes the character right to the cursor. I can't remember if that worked out of the box or if i made it work by editing "/etc/inputrc", "/etc/keymap-extension-*". I do know that I fiddled around with...

    Release UAE4All 2.0

Thanks once again. In which situations would I want to use lowres instead of highres? Does hires demand more CPUpower? Do some games look ugly with lowres and so I will want to switch between theses two modes rather frequently? I'm just trying to get some background-knowledge.

    SuperZaxxon v1.52 released!

hm strange. If you want to discuss this more in detail, then feel free to open a new thread and I will try to be of help.

    SuperZaxxon v1.52 released!

Linux-SWAT, are you talking about _directly_ booting ext4 or getting a rootfs located on a ext4-fs to boot in some way? I'm running my system from an ext4-sdcard. For that I am using a small ext2-bootpartition. That boot-partition contains: - autoboot.txt - boot/ and boot/ contains...

    Pandora blender game to pandora?

I don't think that a game, which was done within blender and was made a stand-alone executable by the use of the blender-player, does necessarily involve programming (as in "writing code"). You can of course for example use python-scripting which often is used in Blender for more advanced stuff...

    Linux problem

Hard to find a solution with so little information. The more you can give the better. Which services are you running in the background that you know of? Anything special you set up yourself like NFS-mounts (NetFileSystem) or anything else that might be waiting for a client (or similar) to...

    Advantages of Slackware?

I'm not completely sure right now, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think: A disadvantage when running the OS from SDcard (which I do too) is that you can not use the least-power-demanding suspend-mode, as the OS-SDcard can not be unmounted, which is a requirement for that mode AFAIK...

    Pandora blender game to pandora?

I'm not an expert on this topic either, but here's the bit I know: There are indeed two ways of distributing blender-games. One is to share the usual .blend-files with others and they of course require a working blender-version for your system in order to open these files. There was already...

    Release UAE4All 2.0

Update to last post: Tried old UAE4all-versions with both (uae and cyclone) cores with various settings. No improvement. Tried the new highes-UAE4all.pnd out of curiosity, but alas no improvement. The only somewhat interesting thing i found out is, that if you press Enter and quickly press...

    Release UAE4All 2.0

Verified this. Same for me. I didn't try landing on a carrier yet, but pressing "Enter" in-game crashes the game (as it seems). However pressing the WHDLoad-Quit-Key does exit back to the Workbench. I will try different settings to see if they improve something.

    Release UAE4All 2.0

An issue with ArmyMoves_v1.2_2442 (WHDinstall): When I press the fire-button (X), then the ingame-vehicle does not only shoot, but the game also pauses. That results in an unplayable slideshow-slowmotion-bullettime-effect when you keep hitting the firebutton. Using the (A)-button (probably set...

    Release UAE4All 2.0

stouffa: I tried what you want to achieve and succeeded. First of all I am not sure if you are aware that you have to reconfigure the UAE-controls for the game. You need access to the cursor-keys. But since the Dpad is set to joystick, you by default can not press them. I solved it by going to...

USB OTG port in SZ 1.52

You probably know this, but since SZ1.52 for the normal (larger) USB-port you have to enable the "USB-host" to attach USB-devices (you can do it via the applet in the taskbar or by selecting "Toggle USB Host" in Start->System). I don't know if this is the same for the OTG-port. Except for...

USB OTG port in SZ 1.52

I use it in the SZ1.52 for network-access over a standard USB-cable (not an adapter to RJ45), plugged into my GentooPC and sharing the internet. But I didn't try plugging in any USB-device.

Release TinyLauncher Run Amiga WHDLoad Games

Yes. AFAIR most files (PAT/RTB) are copied by the WHDLoad installation to that directory. And you copy the kickstart-roms in the same folder and rename them correctly. For example "kick40068.A1200" (no file-extension at the end) for the Amiga1200-kickstart Kickstart v3.1 rev 40.68.

Release TinyLauncher Run Amiga WHDLoad Games

The delay that is caused by a non-registred WHDLoad is the one that occurs when the blue WHDLoad-start-screen appears. Everything before that is caused by the Workbench-setup or - afterwards - by the game.
