Alright, i've been sitting here reading up about the Devil May Cry 3 trial, and reading up GameFAQs reviews for the second DMC game... And I want to know, what was so bad about it compared to the first and the third game?

I've only played the second, you see... So I don't see why it gets bashed so much

Ive only played the first however; my friends that have played the first and second told me when I said I wanted to get the second that "it's just a poor attempt at a sequel to a great game. The story was a let down compared to the fiirst although the graphics are okay. It just doesnt have the great ominous tone that the first game had." Hope that helps, although I still may get the second game since I want to try it for myself.

Well, DMC2 is not really bad. Of course, DMC1 was best, because the storyline and many other things. But DMC2 has more good weapons, like SMG'S, and the graphics were best. I actually beated DMC, and played a lot at DMC2. DMC2 feels more arcade.

I went out and bought DMC the first one without playing it first and i've beaten it and now it sits. I do not like the game, i think it is corny and sucky. Even if Dante is some demon guy, i don't think he could've survived the huge sword that he got stabbed by in the beginning. Its just cheesy, the ending is cheesy. and all around I think the story was crap. The only thing fun is killing things and even that gets tedious.

Because of my experience with DMC i will not get part 2 or 3.

You couldn't open the doors if you were parked next to somebody - oh - you meant Devil May Cry, not DeLorean Motor Company, sorry.

The Dante character is heavily influenced by Devil Man which goes a long way to explaining the cheesyness. It's all about the atmosphere, the action and the attitude. And DMC has all three in spades.

Anyhow, I've never played DMC2 so I've also wondered why nobody likes it. I mean, if the gameplay is almost identical, how much worse can it be?

Same thing with ZOE2 which was another of my fave first-gen PS2 games.

Ah, a man after my own heart! I'm soo glad I didn't choose McFly as my online identity now though as there's a crappy UK pop band started up blasphemously using the name! Seriously, Deloreans come up for sale regularly on eBay, often around £15,000 - less than a Mondeo for God's sake!

Slightly OT, has anyone played psi-ops? Preferably on the ps2 but other consoles would be ok. I'm goin to see if I can rent it this eve.

Played the demo, seems like fun. Might 'rent' it myself after I'm finished with Burnout 3.
