    Open2x bootloader 1.0 - unfinished business..

Appreciate your help. Please hurry as myself and the two other people waiting for this to be fixed are very eager! Lol, just playing. Whenever you get to it, and thanks again for still doing stuff for this old great handheld!

    Back, after 14 years...

Well, I have to say thank goodness Open2x exists. When I went to update the firmware from 1.10 to official v 2.0.0 it appears it updated only the bootloader but not the kernel. Therefore, green screen GP2X boot screen and then...nothing. Then, I tried to use the official 2.1.2 update and again...

    Open2x bootloader 1.0 - unfinished business..

I was on Open2x DR7 and installed your new bootloader today. It installed fine, thanks. Curiously one thing now happens that never happened before. In Open2x I use the music player often (Gmu), but now after installing the bootloader any song I play in it becomes choppy the first few seconds...

Thanks! I kind of figured best to do would be to move to v2 first. Let's just hope I don't brick it. It'll be the fastest return and departure in history. Lol! I have a variety of old SD cards, so that's where I'll start. I even have an 8MB Canon SD card! I recall having no issues with open2x...

Funny what time can do to a person. I recently purchased a GP2X F100 (first edition) on ebay because I remember playing with the thing around 20 years ago. In searching around I found these forums, and then I found myself talking about the GP2X and other GPH consoles. Apparently I was very into...

Dingoo A320 Or Gemei A330? Or Stick With What I Already Have?

Well, I love my Caanoo for sure. It is a much better device than the Dingoo A320 I own. BUT, I can't say that the A320 is a bad device at all. It is super portable, inexpensive, build pretty solid (at least I think so) and the emulation on the device is really nice. The screen is also very good...

Screen Protector That Will Perfectly Fit The F-200?

Well, I found a garmin nuvi that appears to have the same size screen (I don;t have the exact model at the moment) and ordered a Boxwave protector in hopes that it will correctly fit the F-200. If it does I will report back the model device...that is if anyone even cares anymore ;)

I Dropped My Caanoo - Wont Start

I wish you luck. Any number of things could have happened, from something simple to something physically cracked/broken. Let us know how you make out.

Screen Protector That Will Perfectly Fit The F-200?

I recently (just today) scored an F-200, brand new never opened (until now of course!) I am a collector of all things open handheld, and aside from the Pandora (which I am waiting on) I have now nearly every homebrew device. Or perhaps I should say ever one that meant something to me ;) Anyway...

    Sd Card Speed Question

Trust me, coming from someone who works for a major SD card manufacturer (I just prefer not to say who) ;) , you will receive no difference in using a class 10 or a class 4 on the Caanoo itself. I have tested high speed class 10 cards on the unit as well as class 6 and 4, and believe it or not...

Pocketsnes 7.2.0 For Wiz, Caanoo And Gp2X

This emu is the way to go for SNES emulation. It is an absolute joy on the Caanoo (and others!) Thanks again!

So, If You Buy A Second One And Leave It In The Box...

How long will THAT battery last? I would like to purchase a spare and keep it sealed/new in storage for a rainy day in the future, but not if the nature of the battery is such that without a charge over an extended period of time (maybe a year or more) it will be dead right out of the box upon...

    Ordered Another Caanoo

Oh I agree. I personally think for a company that does not produce even a fraction of a percent as many handhelds as someone like Nintendo, they should not even have a serial number at all. Just a production number hardcoded in the rom would suffice. I mean, is there any question that it is a...
