Strangely that does not work for me.
With megawads I get:
W_AddFile: couldn't open HR.WAD
With my small map I get:
R_InitData: Textures SDL_GP2X: Freeing cursor 0x2ddd98
This is on an F100 with Firmware 2.1.1, do you think it would help upgrading to Open2x?
Compiling with Open2x Precompiled Toolchan and Precompiled Libraries from the Open2x wiki, I get the following:
arm-open2x-linux-gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wno-unused -Wno-switch -Wextra -Wno-missing-field-initializers -Winline -Wwrite-strings -Wundef -Wbad-function-cast -Wcast-align -Wcast-qual...
I have been trying both Open2x and devkitGP2X. I had to remove I_EndDoom altogether from src/SDL/i_main.c, and pr_config.sh puts the wrong things in config.h under devkitGP2X depending on which SDL libs I'm using but they can be manually fixed. I keep getting errors either with SDL version being...
The error on small PWADs is apparently allocating 4Gb RAM:
R_InitData: Textures Z_Malloc: Failure trying to allocate 4228103872 bytes
Z_Malloc: Failure trying to allocate 4228103872 bytes
And on larger PWADs (like HR) is just a straight segfault...
Hello all. It's been a long time since I've been around here, though I still have my F100-Mk2 with v2.1.1 firmware. I see Open2x is out now which is pretty exciting!
PrBoom for GP2X is currently the latest upstream version (2.5.0) however it only works well for the original levels. When trying...
I hardly ever post here, but I do read the RSS feed. The only reason I even bought my GP2X in the first place was for emulation. I will most definitely be using this, and am thankful to notaz and all the authors who have made the GP2X the best emulation handheld out there.
Apart from emulators...
i find that the gp2 does not work in any usb ports except the ones on the back of my pc, the front usb or a usb hub doesnt work
you could also try turning usb2 off with the command sudo modprobe -r ehci_hcd in a terminal window, then trying again
the command dmesg | tail -n 20 might give you...
got gp2x detected fine, i had to disable usb2
sudo modprobe -r ehci_hcd does the trick
further to sepiroth's post, you should always unmount the usb drive before unplugging the gp2x or clicking X to disconnect it
goodbye, life B) thankyou so much!
might i make a suggestion? you know how when you go to equip something, and you hit Y and it brings up the info screen telling you what level you need to be to use it? how about having the same info screen when you hit Y in the shop, when you are selling...
this is an old topic, but still comes up in google search for "ubuntu gp2x", and with increasing adoption of linux as a desktop OS, i thought it might be relevant
firstly, you need to update to usb networking kernel module on your gp2x. the one that ships with it only works with 2.4.x kernels...
