    RISC OS?

The RISC OS port is working also with other Linux Distros. You have to find the needed dependencies. I have it working on the Pinephone (ok, Mobian is Debian ;-)), Manjaro, Danctnix Arch Linux on PineTab2 and other ARM based machines. Using is ... I use RISC OS since the beginning of 1992 but...

    RISC OS?

Archimedes Emulation: Arculator is flexible with a lot of podule-emulation but slow on Pyra Linux. The faster way is to use ArchiEmu inside the LinuxPort. Is very fast and compatible to the old Archimedes software. Left is the old Arthur (1987) and right my A5000 mirror (Image of my old...

    RISC OS?

As I unterstand is non-trivial at all. But I'm not a good programmer. The most ported tool are for the command line. You find any on riscosports but I'm not sure how complicated. There is a GCC-port available and the OSLib for this but if you not find the needed libraries... The most command...

    RISC OS?

I have made a setup with CROS4 (Classic RISC OS from qubeserver). Is not optimized at this time and from a slow SD card.

    RISC OS?

New and Old together... just for fun. I have compiled Arculator for the Pyra so I can use old Arthur/RISC OS 2/3... and the new 5.xx.

    Slackware inside Pyra

I remove RISC OS from EMMC and flash the Pyra via the Installer-Image ;-) https://packages.pyra-handheld.com/images/bookworm/ I want to try RISC OS as an executable under Slackware as I describe for Bookworm here https://pyra-handheld.com/boards/threads/risc-os.77740/post-1725073. For me it...

    Slackware inside Pyra

I'm not know what the changes are. Not sure what you need. The complete "Loader" (the RISC OS boot partition) files you find here .

    Slackware inside Pyra

Mmm, Slackware will no longer boot. I have upgrade eMMC to Bookworm. I was using RISC OS from eMMC for a long time (before it was Bullseye) and Slackware or Bookworm from card. After reflashing, the Slackware card is ignored on start, Bookworm and RISC OS are working from card. Wrote a second...

    RISC OS?

All the best for 2026 to everyone here. Unfortunately, the RISC OS port is still stalled. It works well over HDMI, but the Pyra display is a beast and so far does not want to work under RISC OS. For those who still want to try RISC OS on the Pyra... I have adapted Timothy Baldwin's old Linux...

    Investing the LTE issue

I wrote something about here... https://pyra-handheld.com/boards/threads/modem-not-connecting.99709/post-1713825 ... comparable results.

    RiscOS

Upload in progress... takes two hour or more :-( The Image is based on the "Complete RPi SD card image" offered by ROOL. Is a zipped 4GB card image with any Pandora additionals. Should also work with a Beagleboard but the Screenresolution is 800x480 as default. Download

    RiscOS

Next stable 5.30 is out now. Has anyone an interest for the Pandora port? My Pandora is working well with 5.30 but I'm not sure how many people also use RISC OS on the Pandora. The new WiFi driver not working here :-( so the main improvement is not available for the Pandora.

    RISC OS?

Short update. PyraKey now works as it should. Briefly described: The left NUB is used for mouse movement, the right one for the scroll wheel (only the window over which the mouse pointer is positioned scrolls). The mouse buttons are as follows: Select := left NUB pressed Adjust := right NUB...
