Which One? The Yinlips Ydpg16 Or Jxd S601?

Oh boy, here we go again. JXD just released the new JXD V5200. It has totally different specs than the previous devices. The main selling points appear to be the 5" 800x480 two-point-touch screen, HDMI output and "wifi direct" which allows you to play directly with other people in the area...

Which One? The Yinlips Ydpg16 Or Jxd S601?

The resolution isn't too bad, and yes it is higher than the Caanoo's 320x240 (minus some for the bezel overlap), I'd just prefer it to be a tad higher for playing SVGA (640x480) games that have been ported to Android, for example some later SCUMMVM compatible games, or something like DinkHD...

Which One? The Yinlips Ydpg16 Or Jxd S601?

There same guy that did the first video of the G16 has done a second one... http://www.youtube.c...h?v=EYQ8xZG31xk Seems pretty nice. I wish it had a higher resolution screen, but... heck for $90, it does offer some nice features. ruffnuts, what handhelds do you own, and when you get your G16...

Which One? The Yinlips Ydpg16 Or Jxd S601?

Yep, that's it! Like I said, that seems to be related to the version of Snes9x that is being used for these handheld ports. They need to use newer, updated versions to fix these issues, or use other emulators entirely. So, theoretically, if someone had the time and interest, this could be fixed...

Which One? The Yinlips Ydpg16 Or Jxd S601?

Yep, that's normal! Aside from the sound lag, it looks to be running really well and that's exactly how the original game sounded on the SNES. Thank you so much for the input! =)

Which One? The Yinlips Ydpg16 Or Jxd S601?

Actually, in your video it DOES have the sound problems found on other emulators. Basically, certain sounds "stick" and drag out for a few seconds rather than playing normally. I looked on YouTube and found a couple of gameplay videos and they too had this problem! Apparently not all emulators...

Which One? The Yinlips Ydpg16 Or Jxd S601?

Thank you for testing it! Are you using a version of Snes9x that comes on the G18, or a downloaded one? I tried SuperGNES Lite on my Touchpad running Android and it works quite well. The sound is pretty much perfect and the game runs quite smooth (a few jitters here and there). Sadly, you have...

Which One? The Yinlips Ydpg16 Or Jxd S601?

So, is there any indication that JXD will be replacing the S601 at any point in the next couple of months? These devices are being released very rapidly, and currently the S601 looks like the best option to me... and its dirt cheap... but it has been out for a few months, and there are some...

Which One? The Yinlips Ydpg16 Or Jxd S601?

The S601 has an A9 processor, versus the A8 processor in the Yinlips (it may be called a Boxchip A10, but there is no such thing as an ARM Cortex A10 processor). The A9 really should be a little bit faster, clock for clock, and possibly more efficient...

    Yinlips, Jxd Or Caanoo?

I only have a Caanoo currently and its a nice device but software support has been disappointing for me. I went without using it for over 6 months, and when I returned to check out any updated emulators and such, there were no updates to anything that I used, aside from the new PSX emulator. If...

    Secret Of Evermore

I have this same problem on my Caanoo, which is very discouraging. This is the one game I've been wanting to play lately... and the audio is a complete mess with PocketSNES 7.2.0. It is NOT the game. I've played this game on an SNES and on several PC emulators, and it only has issues on the...

    Ags Engine Source Code Released!

On April 29th the source code for the AGS Engine was released: http://www.bigbluecup.com/yabb/index.php?topic=43383.0 AGS has been used to make hundreds of exceptional independent games over the years, including the Trilby\Chzo games by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw (Zero Punctuation), A Tale of Two...

Wrong Time To Buy A Handheld For Emulators?

I haven't played Metroid enough on the Caanoo to really experience that yet, so I'm not really sure on that one. One thing to keep in mind is that while analog sticks may not be quite as "fast" for button mashing games like Street Fighter that require you to tap lots of directions quickly, they...

Wrong Time To Buy A Handheld For Emulators?

I haven't had any control issues with my Caanoo personally. I've played a ton of NES, Genesis, SMS and Super Nintendo games. I just played through Cave Story for the first time on Caanoo, and the controls are very similar to Metroid. I didn't have any issues with the controls at any point. In...

    Best Large Capacity Sd Card

I use Transcend cards myself, though most brands seem to be pretty reliable these days. I own two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820208293&cm_re=transcend_class_6-_-20-208-293-_-Product One in my Caanoo and one in my Canon SX130. As CKeichel said, a card reader...
