Should I have received my final order eMail already?

Ordered. Thanks for sticking with this ED! Due to exchange rates, the final amount spent is making my eyes bleed a bit but hopefully this will be the start of a new hardware ecosystem. Looking forward to that CPU board upgrade!

    You don't? :)

    Power, Memory and Schematics

Pretty sure it was clarified that the license applies to the documents describing the design and not necessarily the design itself. That said, the Pyra is a very competitive device whose form factor seems to be gaining in popularity. Just to stem the tide of clones, I'm ok with even the design...

    Parts, Boards and the Rotator

A Radeon and some ARM cores would be amazing. That said, AMD still hasn't shipped A1100.

    Current statistics and some predictions

"work, hack, code and play" should be on the front page. Seriously the best Pyra description.

    Colorful week

KVM is documented to work on any Cortex-A15 and even specifically OMAP5... do you know something we don't? As long as the firmware leaves HYP mode available to the kernel, I think we should be fine. Sorry to leave you without a source. The support is several years old...

    Thoughts about an DBP Manager

Ok, ok! Didn't realize I had stumbled into a patch of tcl/tk programmers. I really didn't thing the thread was serious. It really seems odd to try to mix an extra packaging system on top of/beside Debian. What's wrong with working with Debian on new packages?

Preorders Have Started. (Previously named starts in two hours)

There are still only a handful of things that really require systemd; usually via needing logind/libpam-systemd integration. Even then, you can usually just have them installed and run sysvinit instead. As long as you do have sysvinit-core installed and do not have systemd-sysv installed, you...

Preorders Have Started. (Previously named starts in two hours)

Finally sorted things out with my bank and completed my US 4GB/4G order! Got an extra 100€ voucher to encourage US 4G production. @EvilDragon: Thank you for having a shopping system that doesn't time out after nearly a day!

    Finalizing everything!

Nice progress. Extra happy about maybe being able to charge over microusb 3. 4GB/4g US for this prepreorderer, please!

    ... we're still alive!

Not a big systemd (the desktop people have taken over init, wtf year is this?) or pulseaudio fan but if there is a use-case where they would shine, it is a device like this. I've used pulseaudio as a part of WebOS for many years and it has performed well. I run sysvinit and jack on all my...

    ... we're still alive!

The new keys look great! I'd prefer 64GB or 32GB of flash. /var grows fast. 16GB would be disappointing unless it can be mounted at the same time as the internal microsd card.

You'll hate this post. And you'll love this post.

I actually have a silicone set of these and have used them on my phone and laptop. They're cheap and pretty nice quality. Search for "laptop dust plugs".
