    Exagear is dead

Hello all, I apologize for not reading the entire thread. I missed the update e-mail and the last release I have is 2.0. Could someone tell me which is the latest release, and perhaps point me to the place where I can get it?

Planet Computers : Gemini - Psion Returns

mAh ratings made perfect sense when LDO regulators were in wide use, which just reduced battery voltage to 3.3V while keeping the same current. Anyway, no single rating would cover all the cases, since batteries don't simply store a constant amount of charge or energy. Any rating would be an...

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

Unlikely. I'd check the USB C plug for damage. Since everyone seems to have a different set of problems with this device, I wish there was a GPD Win exchange. I for one wouldn't mind trading my unit (which charges like it should) for a unit which doesn't restart spontaneously twice a day.

The old retro: Pocket PCs. The new retro: Keyboard PCs!

I fail to understand what exactly is "new experience" here. I'm typing on a similarly-shaped keyboard right now, and having an extra square foot of desk space (where my laptop is sitting) is hardly exciting enough.

They'll download the Internet and flash it in there, in case your WiFi goes down. ;)

Touch typing implies that you sit down at a table and put your device on it. At that point, I don't see any reason to prefer an ultra-portable device to a laptop. I know I need at least A4-sized keyboard for comfortable typing, the difference between 12" and 10" laptops is huge for me. I...

GPD Pocket ready for preorder :)

I bet Intel isn't pushing anything here, they couldn't care less what SoC GPD ends up using. And what's the problem people are having with Intel anyway?

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

Shame they won't work together with DPAD in mouse mode, and many games don't like the other two.

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

I envy you guys who don't have any crashes! Say, maybe someone with a stable Z8750 unit could run "driverquery /V" for me and post the results?

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

Not sure if you guys know this: Microsoft Office Mobile is free for devices with a screen < 10.1", and GPD Win does qualify. I was able to install Word, Excel and PowerPoint Mobile, and they all function properly, (including editing) for free. Considering GPD Win has HDMI and USB, I basically...

    GPD-WIN frequent blue screens

Most BIOS settings hacks require you to reflash your BIOS first to unlock advanced settings. I've done so, and it didn't make things any worse. Just don't start pulling your hair off right away when your GPD will look bricked after a reflash or after you change the DRAM settings - it will come...

GPD Win - issue with DPAD controls

I'm experiencing the same issue as described here: left shoulder button stops working in mouse mode when DPAD is used. The advice given in the thread is to switch to either Joystick mode (called Dinput in the manual) or X-Box control mode (Xinput), but I couldn't get these modes to work...

    GPD-WIN frequent blue screens

@Kippykip: I also get quite some crashes, though I believe mine are mostly IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, but I get others from your list as well. I tend to have several of those in a row (within minutes), then the unit manages to boot in a stable state and is usable for several days with sleep and...

    GPD-WIN frequent blue screens

It crashes just as well with Debian Jessie.

    GPD Win crashes

@pocak Thanks for the hint. So far, I've discovered that disabling DPTF is causing crashes in my case. Unfortunately, enabling it means I'll have to live without hibernation for now. Edit: I spoke too soon, the crashes are still there no matter what I do. Sometimes the unit boots in a stable...
