Hi, I have tried to convert rick dangerous 2 (the kixx version) using makedisk 1.4.
I used the following syntax: makedisk /read test.st /auto
but the end file did not work in either the GP32 emu or PC emu.
Did I do anything wrong ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Loic

making .ST disc images from original discs is a bad idea. they were copy protected at the time and that is essentially what you are trying to do. as well as that the ST disc drive was slightly different than the modern PC 3.5" HD drive, in ways that were exploited to fit more info on the DD disks.

best advice is: look at the FTP server mentioned elsewhere, download the "_Directories" listings and then find the games you want.

I sometimes have more luck if I format the disk in the PC not the ST and then copy the files over on the ST before bringing it back to makedisk.

But yeah commercial games can be a problem unless they've been cracked...

Damn, the whole idea was to get rid of these ever annoying intros, crack screens & so on.
And I have so many originals still.... I know there existed a program that could replicate exactly orginal amiga disks... Isn't there anything similar for ST ?
Otherwise, I suppose I will have to live with common piracy...
Thanks for your help,

Loic
