Help FLU

I was playing on OpenSnesX yesterday when suddenly the screen dimmed and the light stopped working. I restarted but now my FLU doesn't work properly i thought this might just be that my rechargeable batteries had run down so i tried some other non rechargeable batteries and the GP32 also works fine with them but when i switch the FLU on the screen's brightness goes up but the FLU doesn't switch on.
Also the LED dims slightly when i switch the FLU on nd the screen has a strange flickery look and there is a very faint line moving from left to right.
Has anybody else had this problem should i return it to GBAx.com (do they accept returns?)
I am recharging some more batteried to see if these work...

ARGGGGhhhhhhh!!!!

It just sounds like a power issue to me, try some new batteries and see what happens first.

i had the EXACT same problem. i tried taking apart my flu to see if i could find a problem.. but i used the wrong sized screw driver at first and now it wont unscrew at all... not sure exactly what caused mine either but my gp's symptoms are exactly the same.. if you find a solution or somewhere to send it back to PLEASE email me at gay__69@hotmail.com. im really sorry to hear it happened to you dude.. i know how much it sucks :( i hope we find a solution for both em and you though ;)

im talking with a guy who siad he may be able to fix it.. i dunno whats gunna happen though. ill wait till i get mine back working before i refer you to him.. wouldnt want you to waste your money shipping it just to find out he cant fix it. cuz its from a site that modifies the joystick and fixes broken buttons. ill reply on this same page so bookmark it and check back in about a week or so.

LOL!!!!
What the Hell....
after taking it apart and lots of other stuff i finally stumbled across the fact that i was using Ni-mh batteries in it and yet my rechrger only supports Ni-Cd, so i decided that i would get a new compatible recharger...
I then decided it would be best to run down my rechargeable batteries first so i turned on the broken light and left it sitting there for 2 hours or so....

But when i came back the light was on and had fixed itself - why does random crp like this always happen to me????

???
Bizarre

I hope you fix yours soon MrGay

Weird! Man - you're lucky with the batts - can cause a fire to charge then in the wrong type of charger (though that just may be charging NiCds in a NiMH charger). You may have permenantly buggered your NiMHs though :(

Ah well - only time will tell.

well as soon i get home im going to charge them in a new charger, i might run the batteries down first as that might decrease the chance of them breaking or something

;) ahhhh well at least it fixed itself

When I was going to buy a GP32, I heard from the shop that the flu GPs didn't work properly :)(), so I bought a normal one.

arrghh dammit its broken itself agian

i bought a dc adaptor and it doesn't want to function with that as the flu isn't very bright and ther is a big pale line moving from left ot right very fast (it sll flickery as well)

I bought a new Ni-Mh charger as well and charged the batteries with that and the flu seems really, really dull and not relly bright enough to light up the screen properly.

:(

i have the same problem, my flu has dimmed permanently it seems.. im gonna send it back to gbax...

this is so random it like keeps working for just 1 hour and then going dim or worse broken???

i might just send it to GBAx to get checked over/replaced, but it would be really annoying if i didn't get a 166mhz flu again as a replacement...!!!!

thats my exact problem... seems like a common fault.. could spell trouble for gp32??

at least the lovely lady at gbax will replace it with a same OC capable unit... they send it back to gamepark...

i am a bit worried its a inherent problem thats unfixable though

it should be fixable.. it might just be your led light. im sending mine into some guy nearby to fix mine.. but i cant bear to part with my gamepark for more than a day
