GP32 8bit Digital I/O

lol papa - i'm still clueless too !

old cheeseman bless him thinks i'm a retard - maybe so - coz all this hip bone connected to the thigh bone is really screwing my brain - dont think i can handle all this !

what i will say - is it certainly sounds quite clever. so if theres something going on as regards the gp being used for some practical purpose - i'm for it. hooray for exploration

meanwhile.. back in the physics lab...

i'm all for hardware hacking too :)

and erm... i dont *think* i'm stupid...

...but i still don't get this...

if someone else understands what's going on, please explain it. it's bugging me now...

What i wanna know is will this help me output my GP32 to the TV so I can use it to watch films/play emus on telly?

Or, switch my bedroom light on/off.

Oh, and is it wireless, and if not can it be?

Cheers ;)

It basically acts like a switch. So you can turn things on or off. Simple as that. Devices could be made to act on the electrical signals it gives off (depending on what software was written for it)... I was thinking of a remote toilet flush since after a bad curry I want to get away from that thing as fast as possible.

I guess if you still don't understand what I have been trying to explain then you have no requirements for such a device. SORRY!
I don't want one. i just wanted to know what the hell you were talking about. SORRY!

EDIT: so it can switch things on and off... this idea is even crapper than that gp32 stand thingy, and nearly as crap as lik-sang's PSP flash animation. SORRY! :p

"switching things on and off" are the basics for new hardware designs - so this interface isn't "crap"!

Damn cool!..
I like that kind of stuff!
Just one question, i'm not a hardware wiz, but did you reconfigure the pins connected to the EXT port to I/O?

No reconfiguring! This is a standard flu unit, the lead is a samsung part and needed a little re-wiring.

If the development software was as easy to get to grips with as the hardware this little gem could be a world beater.

I have attempted this experiment on PC based systems in the past and they cannot perform in realtime as well as the gp32 can.
