Chu Chu Rocket

I can't get it going, it is a zip containing .lnk .rsc & .tos files... it looks like the contents of an atari floppy disk, maybe it could be converted into an MSA or ST ?

Don't know much about Atari ST's so I could be wrong.... There's some wicked looking stuff on that site tho

I've been having a poke around and worked out how to create .ST files using STEEM. Unfortunately none of them seem to load in castawaym chu chu rocket gets past a couple of spash screens then to the title screen and plays the music (badly) but stays there- no input seems to move it

Anyone done this before? Maybe it's the way I've created the disk or something....

Steem will allow you to use your hard disk as if it were an ST one.

Use the ST desktop within Steem to copy the program files from your hard disk to a blank floppy image. (castaway comes with a diska.stt that I wipe within steem and use, remember to rename it to .st for steem)

Steem should save the changes to the disk image which you can then rename and run in castaway.
if you get stuck, I'll be glad to do it :)

just re-read your last post properly frolik, sounds like it just doesn't run in castaway then :(

unless you didn't copy all the files over....

I made an image too, same result.

If you search the forums you'll find a thread very similar to this one.... :(

Thanks Wub, think you may have confirmed it doesn't work.... Although if you could try it for yourself it would be good in case I messed up.

gutted! :(

edit: just seen your post. thx for testing it, o and while I'm thanking, ta for the CSB tutorial- handy
