I know that maybe it sounds stupid, but I saw more and more post which were asking "is there an Amiga emu planned" or "an Amiga emu would be fantastic" and I'm personaly really want this so I would love to know how many ppl would love to see an Amiga emu on GP32 and if they would be even ready to pay for this :)

Then maybe, with abit luck, if GP32 community show his high interest for this many coders will try to make this wish come true :)

Honnestly I think that some games like Sensible World of Soccer / Wings / Settlers and so many more [list them all ;p] would worth dead an emulator :)

Of course I would pay for it :)

But I really doubt that such an emulator is possible on gp32.

Yes I understand you :) but unfortunatly I don't really know if it's really possible... I wish that in this topic the best coders of the GP32 scene will give us their opinion :)

i would pay around 25 pound's if i could play swos and the alien breed serise.....(90% speed with no sound).
and up to 40 pound's ....(the price i'd pay for a brand new gamecube or ps2 game)....for full speed with sound.
emu would only need to be a500...anyone have one in dev and close to spec's i need...e-mail shotaway123@aol.com

i think a amiga emulator is possible. i know someone will work on it and i think he will take no money 4 it.
ps: i will spend 15$ if i can pay without paypal and kredit card

On my Amiga1200 with PPC-Card (603e 240 MHz) the Amiga-Emulator (!) was quiet slow...

What does anybody make think it will be playable on the 133 MHz GP32 ?

tidus...if you are really willing to pay for it....(as you started this post....i take it you are)...why don't you set it up on the gp32 great challenge....(as that's what it there for)....i will add a donation....(in a day or two....when i get payed)....as this might get the ball rolling.

Useful when testing software.

I would pay a very good price for a GP versio of swos or an Amiga Emulator that could run it :)

That is not the question.
I only wanted to give an example of how much CPU-power is needed to emulate an amiga *smoothly*. And the computer with the "lowest" MHz I have emulated an amiga on was my amiga1200ppc :D

with now 17 people willing to pay.....we could set the challange on gp32spain for around 200 if everyone is true to there word and donate's around 13 pound's to the challange...if we do do this...we would need to know what the challange should be with all people donating having there say.
maybee two hundred pound's would be insentive for good coder's to have a go...
i bet some-one allready tryed to port...(if there's open soure pc amiga emu's)....
if not....maybee some-one is willing.....
so to the 17+ people who are willing...put up or shut up.

This may sound stupid, but i'm not a big collector of the old computers, i just have a Commodore vic-20, what amiga system are we talking about and can somebody post a screen shot.

Ideally an A1200 so the AGA games would work.

But to be realistic the GP is probably only capable of emulating a machine of Amiga 500 spec.

Most of the modern emulators now bypass emulating a specific machine and instead emulate the processor and chipset that you pick.

i had an amiga 1200...but i think it would have to be a500 only...
but who's to say that in the future...aga might come our way.
but i'm just a foolish old man dreaming.....
