1. Why would i want to upgrade my firmware? I mean if i dont care how long it takes for it to boot whats the big deal?

2. Does anyone know of any good FREE PDF to txt convertors?

3. Ever since i installed GP Link Virtual Dub wont start. If i unzip the virtualdub.exe file back into the VDub directory, it will work until i reboot my computer. Any clues why that may be?

Only upgrade your firmware if you want the functionality which only it can provide. Otherwise, unless you modify your GP32 for an extra 32MB of RAM, there's no point.

2. Does anyone know of any good FREE PDF to txt convertors?

Adobe Acrobat Reader, the free version, has an "export to text" function.

You mean PC-Link, right? I suggest uninstalling PC-Link (or GP-Link or whatever program you are talking about) and see if Virtual Dub works then. Since Virtual Dub does not install itself into your registery, I find it odd that installing another program would conflict. I've used both (PC-Link) without any trouble.

Hey thanks for the help. Yeah, i meant PC-link. I think its weird about virtual dub too but maybe it was just a coincidence that it happened the same time i installed the PC link software. Who knows but i will try what you suggested.

I feel stupid now asking about the pdf->txt...

at the risk of feeling even dumber, i cannot find the export to txt. I found an export thing under the file menu but its options are greyed out and they say "form data" Anyway, its beyond me right now...
