Whats the best Homebrew game for GP32? I feel like a change....

Everytime i try to play Bob the amazing lemon, it destroys my SMC, nothing works, i lose everything and have to reformat. I don't know what the problem is but i'll never try Bob the Amazing lemon again.

Don't believe everything you read on the Internet. I usually take majority rule, and it seems the majority of Google searches brings up direct references to the Atari ST being 16-bit. Additionally, this link defines the 8-bit Atari systems:

http://www.faqs.org/faqs/atari-8-bit/faq/

Since I have never personally owned an Atari, nor have the time to persue its internal workings, I have only have "majority rule" to go by. The great Skeezix could easily your concern more conclusively ;)

The Atari ST is 16bit; the word "ST" is debated to have two meanings.. "Sam Tramiel" (the owner of Atari Computers at the time) or "Sixteen/Thirtytwo" in refererence to the processor being a 16bit processor with 32bit databus of sorts. It uses a Motorola 68000 processor (pllus other goodies).

Its the XL, XE, etc, that were 8bit on 6502s.

extremegamer: at what point does bob destroy your smc? does it actually get into the game? I'm not even sure how it could destroy the smc 'cos that usually happens when something goes wrong and the smc is being written to, but bob doesn't write anything to the card

ps. sorry for destroying your smc a few times. I never knew bob had it in him ;)

Hmm... the first version of Bob (the one released at the compo) didn't work for me either (okay, it didn't destroy anything, it just didn't start)

The next version worked fine for me :)

This is what happens, my SMC is fine, i just have to reformat it and lose all data on it. I copy the game like I do any other game, I go to run it and it gives me an error, all in Korean. When I go to delete it in PC link i get errors when I go into folders, It will not let me delete the .fxe because of the errors, I don't remember what the errors were. So I tried to back up my SMC before formatting, it would not back it up so i did it manually, I was able to save most of my files, but I lost all my homebrewn games, DOOM II and quite a few roms, which is not a big deal, I tried twice to get Bob to work downloading it from 2 different sites to see if there was a difference in files, and both times I had to format my SMC and install everything again just so I could get some stuff to work.

Yes, i tried everything I knew how to do. I was very limited with what I could copy and what i could access or do. Somethings worked fine while others completely shut down my GP. Looks like no BOB for me anytime soon. I fear Bob now.
