Keyboard - Gp2x

You can probably use a USB keyboard when the breakout box becomes available but I don't know how many apps will support a keyboard.

yes, you can use a keyboard, but I don't know if any programs support them yet . . . not many people have their break-out-boxes yet

Would there be a way to power the keyboard on it's own, like a small USB keyboard modified to take a 9-Volt battery or some AAA's (4.5 or 6 volts?) to hook up to the usb port? Or draw a bit of power from the EXT port for a keyboard somehow?

here's a list of exciting peripherals you CAN add to your GP2X at present:
You missed off power supply from your list. (Headphones arn't exciting because you can't get electric shocks from them) :p

The built in USB port is not a host port, meaning that it must be used to connect to a real host such as a PC. The GP2X will then appear on your PC as an external peripheral the same way a digital camera or MP3 player would.

The GP2X does have an EXT. connector (on the bottom) which can be used with the appropiate adapter to add USB host ports to the GP2X which can then be used for plugging a USB keyboard/mouse/etc.. into. Believe it or not, this is actually a bit exciting.

where exactly would you get hold of a EXT to USB cable etc then? nothing completely fancy like a BoB but just a simple cable? *attempts a google search*

hmm damn seems like its a custom DIY job lol

Actually I was myself wondering where/how to get that, honestly. My bank card is twitching.

I think it says it has a realtime clock. I see RTC among all the ???s
