Hi people! ;)

I got a little problem with my GP32...

The very first time i've installed it, it was OK... It worked fine with PClink...
But since few days, each times i plug my GP32, it's not recognised well by my OS (Win2k)... Instead of the correct driver, it install a generic USB driver.
Whatever! I re-install it with the good driver, and CRASH ! My PC reboot itself ...
IMPOSSIBLE to reinstall correctly the good driver...
I've recently remount my PC, format, reinstall... blah blah blah... Then specify the good driver for my GP32, ok... it works... but after a reboot, BLAM! the same problem with this f****ing generic USB driver...

Heeeeelp please :(

It's not a problem with your gp32, it's a problem with Windows :-\

I had the same problem when I installed SP4, and I haven't found a solution. When I reboot, I can link to the GP32 once, but if I turn the GP32 off and then on again, I get the dreaded "generic USB device" screen. I have to reboot Windows to link again.

There is a patch on Windows Update which sounds like it might be related to this (sorry I can't remember the details exactly but it was something about windows sp4 preventing people from installing devices)... if you haven't already, go and have a look for it.

I have been dual-booting Windows and Linux for a while, but it was this that finally made me switch to Linux for good :)
