What's The Best Dvd-r/w Drive For Multiregion Movies?

I'm looking to see what's the best DVD-R/W drive I should get where I can download a tool that can reset the region code as many times as I want. The DVD-ROM that died was a Lite-On SH-HD167T or something, I flashed the firmware to allow me to reset the region code. I want a new great speed DVD-R drive that will allow me to do the same so I can playback my R1 & R3 movies.

The reason I think it died may have been because it either sucks or I have this new part on my new PC where it opens up and the drive slides out and goes under it. I lift the front of it up and my drive cannot stand up straight as it used to. I'm thinking the latter is a good reason for what has happened, if that is possible.. but I get the feeling that these things die out too quick as I've had some of the worst luck with DVD drives.

Hm maybe.. in a way it can be inconvenient. Then again, I assume you can rewrite the movie on a new DVD-R and remove region coding and then watch it on your player? Well as long as I can do that it won't matter as long as the drive is really durable and has an excellent read/write speed.

You could try something like this and just use any DVD drive - http://www.remoteselector.com/

There are other similar programs lying around the internet. I installed this one on my laptop and it just sits in the tray. As I haven't got any DVD's that aren't from my region I have been unable to see whether it actually works :p.

edit: It seems to have some good reviews. http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=Remote_selector. If you've got another DVD drive lying around somewhere it might be worth checking out.
