Do u have to use the SD card on the GP2X website or do others work?

can you pleas stop asking stupid questions and start thinken? this is at least the 5th stupid topic you created...
Of course, (nearly) any sd card will work, just avoid kingston.

kingston works for normal use, but its named to be often responsible for the infamous autbrick with earlier firmwares.

EVEN I checked the WIKI for the list of compatible cards out there .. I bought the 2Gig SANDISK II .. works a treat.

omfg! this should be lol'ed... in fact if there was a way to do it, guntrix should be lol'ed...

Soo, what does that mean? Will it work for transfering files from my PC to my Firmware V 2.00 GP2X?

Yes. And my kingston 256MB card worked flawlessly in upgrading my firmware too.

useing the gp2x as cardreader allways was and is a bit buggy, i strongly sugest you to get a cardreader, they are cheap and you avoid many problems.

My 1GB Kingston works perfectly too, although I have not tried to upgrade the firmware from the original 1.2.0 yet.

I was extremely lucky when I bought my Kingston 1 GB card for the GP2X because of the fact that I bought it for my GP2X without knowing it may not be able to upgrade firmware, yet I got one that worked on the first try...

guntrix, this is your 14th useless post. Please stop spamming this crap and go play 50 Cent Bulletproof or something.

There are already 14053 threads about what SD card to buy.
