Where do you put your games, emulators, etc.?

The menu system sucks, so I'm looking for an efficient means of putting my stuff.

Here's what I have right now:

/ - scripts to run every program I have
/drmd - required, didn't really want it there...
/emulators - data of emulators
/games - data of games
/roms - roms for most systems

It seems a bit crowded with all the programs in /. What I'm thinking of doing like one guy here mentioned before is making a /data (and /data/games, /data/emulators, etc.) with all the data files, then a /games with scripts for games and /emulators for scripts to emulators, etc. It sounds like it would be great for reducing the clutter.

My card's a mess ... but I don't care ... all my start-up scripts are in "Apps & Emus", top folder in my list.

I switched stuff around to how I wanted.

/ - autorun.gpe and cpu_speed
/Emulators - emulator scripts
/Games - ports, interpreters, and original launchers scripts
/data - all the stuff the scripts want to load
/data/emulators
/data/games
/drmd - drmd settings
/roms - rom path for a lot of emus
/timidity - needed for prboom and a couple others for sound

This is working pretty nicely for me. Too bad the original menu doesn't allow you to define an icon for the GPE with like a special comment at the top of the bash script...

... you can just supply an icon of your own, and name it the same as your .gpe;

i.e. "DRmdX.gpe" and its' icon, "DRmdX.png"

I use NeoStuey's icon pack (its on the archive); very slick-looking icons there :)
