Fully working emulators now available at 140, 144, 150, 156, 160, 166 and untested ones at 168, 172, 180, 188

I was informed that Snes9xGP was hexed incorrectly (which it was), so I have redone it and it is now done correctly. Let me know of any other speeds that you would like to try

Get the emulators at GP32 World

safe? not really....

But you can try it...... and possibly fry it ;-)

The GP32 can also serve as a beautiful paperweight :)

hmm... wont work for me :D
but has anyone tested this with success, and how does it run ???
fullspeed? hrhr...

working fine for me :D

but to be honest i cant see much difference between this and the 166mhz version

using snes9x

That may be due to the fact that the speed of the ram can't exceed 166mhz. You could perhaps go that high with a ram upgrade. I don't think 188mhz would be as stable as it is fast anyway, but then again who knows.

The GP32 ram only runs up to 166Mhz so it will limiting things - in other words, you're not really getting 186Mhz....

But you are getting something if your GP only does 156, its faster :) I'll test it on mine now :)

EDIT: Actually I'm too scared to ;)

I'd have tested them on the 2 test GP32's but for some reason you have chosen to archive them in an obsolete format that I can't open (mainly because I won't install yet another piece of crap onto windows XP).

If someone zips them i'll leave them running over night on my 2 battered test gp32s.

 We are talking WinRar here, aren't we?

just install winrar. better than winzip/winace by far
Finally a sensible person. Not only does RAR have a better compression, it also handles ZIP files much better than WinZip itself.

I used to have it installed, but its shareware... besides, XP is so slow i have to keep the computer almost totally bare to keep it running at a decent speed...

I am aware of the advantages of RAR.. but ZIP... so easy... built into XP...

I wish i could get 98 onto this thing.

if this where the case would that not mean the 200mhz version would clock back to 166mhz. it does not appear to do this. it mearly crashes upon loading a rom displaying a green screen. this appears to be the ram failing. To be honest this appears alot slower than the 166mhz version. i loaded up donkey kong two in both at frameskip 4 (with sound on). at 166mhz it played quite smoothly but at 186mhz it appeared very jittery. the sound also appeared slower. also when selecting a game the pointer moves extremly slowly in the 186 version. the whole thing just appears to move slower.

Tried all three emu's and the only one that worked was snes 9x.... didnt seem much faster..... The menu's and rom loading times were much much slower... Is there something wrong with the files because it seems weird that one overclocked emu will work and another will not.

Why can't you, I mean, you could always duel boot with Windows XP and 98. Or get Virtual PC and install Windows 98 inside Windows XP.
