... or it`s line-out are too quiet, so I`m asking, is there any software that allows me to adjust the volume over the limits of the normal settings in windows?
It`s because I already turned every setting to the max, but some movies are still very very hard hear, especially when the dvd drive is turning.
I hope someone can help me, I don`t wanna buy a set of extra speakers :( and my hifi is too far away to hook it up...

That's funny, my laptops TOO loud for headphones, I had to lower the wave settings...
a.) Check all the volume settings, pc speaker, volume, wave, all that crap...
b.) Make sure your settings are to stereo speakers, and not headphones...
c.) Check the dvd player sound settings, and also see if your computer's manual volume control is on high (you know, fn+ ...)
Other than that...idk..

Try using Media Player Classic, It has a volume boost option in the Audio decoders section in the options menu item.

Not that obvious. Once my speakers just seemed to have died, the maximum volume was way down, then I found that a silly little freeware media player had hijacked the volume and turned them right down. I hardly knew I had the thing on my HD. Then I found it, turned the volume up and the master volume or all was fine.

Needless to say, I deleted the offending software straight away!!!

Yeah as said before Media Player classic has ac3 volume boosting which is dynamic so it boosts voice but not the realy loud action scenes . If you need the ultimate movie playing software I reccomend the K-lite Package .
