Ho-Hum.

The GP2X is amazing and I absolutely love it...

Other than the fact that I can only get an hour and a half's worth of battery life (while playing emulators, which is the primary reason I purchased the product), this has annoyed to the point that I am afraid to play the system, because I fear going bankrupt due to battery prices.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to stretch out the battery life to even 3 hours? That's all I ask, just 3 hours.

Please help, if possible, great product otherwise.

4x ( thats 2 spares) decent rechargable NiMH batteries (2500+ mA) should keep you going around 4 hours I've found. Try ebay! :)

I got mine for around $20 (£12).

Others have gotten better results with the more expensive rechargables meant for high drain devices (which lose less voltage over time... 2800+ mA).

The GP2X hates alkaline batteries, their voltage sharply decreases over time, even the best alkalines (Duracell Ultra!) won't last long  Don't waste your money on those, invest on recharables with a fast charger :D

Also Good experience with GP 2500NiMH 1.2 V

Have you "test" the SANYO 2700 mAh Industrial Grade AA NiMH They seem quite apropiate for gp2x.. on the page tell that they keep the intensity up to the end of the charge ussing "whatever new" technology...

Sorry, this is the link.
