I have no idea whether this has been mentioned, and at the mo I can't be arsed to trawl through pages of useless search results. Anyway...

The font that the GP2X uses in its file explorers... Anyone found out where that is?

I'm asking because almost every skin I download always has a bright area that the text merges into, making thing hard to see, and I was thinking that if this font is separate from the kernel or the readers/players, then perhaps those could somehow be replaced.

Am I being wrong-headed in thinking this?

And please, don't tell me to use another section, because I'm not asking for help, and I'm not even sure this qualifies as a Cool Idea, since it's just a question about that bastard font.

Love your screen name. I'd answer your question, but I can't be arsed .... I'll just move the topic to "I need help" .. because you do ;)

i dont think i'd be arsed to look through XXXX amount of posts that i'd get searching "skin" and "font" either.

I don't think that I would post a new topic saying things like "I can't be arsed to search" or "don't tell me to put this in another section".

If that isn't a challenge to TelcoLou I don't know what is!

Anyway, to answer your question, I don't think the fonts are changeable. You're pretty much stuck with using a skin that lets you read the preset font easily.

Hopefully, now that the ebook reader has font support in 1.4.0 we might see skinable fonts in 1.5.0. Surely it can't be too hard for them to add.

also the skin creators can at least try their best with not using bright backgrounds in the textsections. At least that is what I attempted to do

Yep: Shameless Plug
