I wouldn't advise doing either of those afore-mentioned things.

But honest opinion: If you want a self-proclaimed opensource machine with loads of potential and a nice price/feature-list ratio get a GP2X

If you want to sell your soul to So... er I mean if you are wanting a nice screen and high price and Sony trying to stop you fom Homebrewing at every turn, and want to have to convert videos to a stupid format before watching them. Or if you are just a Sony fanboy... then get a PSP.

what should i do get te gp2x or psp?

*get's dirty image* GO FOR THE PSP! HER SCREEN IS SOOO MUCH BIGGER!

in all seriousness though, get a GP2X if you want the sort of hard-hitting homebrew... and fullspeed genesis... genesis=awesome.
Get the PSP if you want commercial games... the 1.5 scene may seem great... but it loses appeal fast... especially since companies are starting to make some good commercial releases... and they require updates...

The psp has fullspeed of most old games

And also the gp2x runs on batterys what handheld runs on batterys

why ask what to get on a forum?
its like asking people who own an xbox if they think they should get a gamecube

@LOL is there a new zero tolerance policy.

I think you have answered your own question. Batteries are good thing, try to pop to your local store to buy a sony battery, its not going to happen. There are advantages to having fancy pants batteries, but as these do not include the words cheap and commonly availably. Its best to ignore them.

The PSP and the GP2X are both lovely whichever one you get you won't be disappointed. Vimacs has pointed you to a search button. This is becuase this topic has well done to death. Generally its the concensus if you want commercial buy a PSP, Homebrew or Cheap buy a GP2X. Then it generally falls apart as people start arguing that the DS is better for commercial, and then it descends into hairpulling.

At the end of the day the GP2X is just more exciting to own, check out http://www.emuboards.com/invision/index.php?act=uportal and look at what is being released and how often, oh and be surprised by DS fun I was.

what's with all the language arrogance? It is annoying as hell that people don't search the forum and ask redundant questions, yes, but is it necessary to remind them of their "duty" to be speaking absolute perfect English? I am myself not a native English speaker and I think it is really cool of people to try to express their opinion even if they are not that good at grammar and spelling... should they rather stay in their own little scene in the countries they come from or should we be welcoming them to unite into a bigger multinational scene??? I think that is counter-productive... and pleaaase close the thread!!!!!!
