Psp Charger

Now that that's been answered, has anyone ever actually charged anything up via a USB port? My battery charger came with a USB cable, but I can't figure out why I'd ever use it... If I'm at a PC, there are obviously power sockets right there, and trying to charge them off my laptop battery is probably not a good idea.

You can charge a PSP from the USB cable, but considering it's impossible to charge the batteries in the GP2X, it's not going to work for that.

I charge my iPod up with my USB port from time to time, but usually only when I've been putting music on it.

I sometimes charge things in my car through the usb port on my stereo. That's the only real use I could find for this.

Is it possible to supply power to the gp2x through the usb cable though? Could make a battery pack that connects to the usb cable for example? I have never tried to connect my gp2x through the usb and now I can't find the damn cable...

No. What's wrong with rechargeable AAs ? They're cheap and available everywhere :)

You can power the gp2x through the ext port if you really don't want to use the DC IN port. It's not recommended though.

Can you? Off to look at the wiki again... :)
Obviously only looking hard enough at the parts I want to!

Why is it not recommended Squidge?
