Well, here are the problems I'm having with it (and am able to deal with somewhat):

1. No USB2 support yet
2. The image viewer doesn't like a majority of my images (they cause it to crash)
3. No WMV, MPG support
4. No pagedown/up functionality
5. Image viewer doesn't remember what picture you last viewed (so if it crashes, you wouldn't have to browse down the list until you reached it)

if he had taken the time to read what he was buying then he would have known what he was buying

DUDE, SERIOUSLY I GOT MY GP2X IN THE FIRST BATCH, SO THERE WAS NOTHING NOWHERE TO READ.

don't think to be the only one to be able to READ.

next time you buy a new model of a car, i hope you get it without the roof, OOOPS, and than who sold you the car provide you with the roof 6 months later, when the rain season is over.

You buy a new car, first of it's type you get problems! Dunno how old you are but i KNOW this to be true.

Anyway, gogetalife. You are a total idiot. Your sig proves that. I haven't voted because you have made a poll with no "Completely happy so far". Because I am!

But you are a flaming knob! You are more keen to show us boxes. Why? So you have a rich daddy!

People with problems can discuss them sensibly. But you are an immature idiot that is probably still in nappies. Please go and stop trolling, if you can't add anything to the boards.

"Last time I checked my GP2X didn't take 30 minutes to boot"
about 30 seconds, yes. it is the longest boot time ive ever seen in a handheld like this. its not a home pc or videogame, its supposed to provide quick data access on the go!

ive uploaded a test video where i load up 1.4.0 to show you the lousy "lcd fix" they are trying to implement (who doesn't actually solve anything)
I also show the cpulcdtweak1.2 app which helps the problem really much (note I press B to set UPLL)
you can also check the annoying half-a-minute boot time
those are not camera artifacts on the video, it was done in a cybershot t7 with macro turned on, so you can see the pixels correctly (thats why the video is high resolution and the gp2x is close to the camera)
i can take a video of any other device with lcd close to it so you can compare boot times, video playback and etc, especially the screen lines

^ You're not 'proving' anything we don't already know.

Nice try though ;)

Gogeta, You seriously have too much time on your hands (looks back at Gogeta`s in-depth replys in thread), You should maybe get out more or think of getting or changing your job or choose something to occupy all of that spare time you have.

what you guys are saying was exactly what I was going to say to you
thanks for doing that already :)

oh well, i cant believe people dont notice the screen flicker... roll it sideways and compare to any other device with lcd, you see theres a huge problem there!
also, 30 minutes boot time isnt exactly what i would call "acceptable". its a handheld device to pick up and play, sometimes i wanna put some songs and leave it on sleep mode to hear on the headphones, but i end up wasting like a minute to boot, load the songs and everything =`\

Yeah because I always roll my GP2X sideways when using it (ok maybe for Mame).

All in all your "Facts" are true, but as it has been said many times before, this is a topic that has been bashed literally to death. Do you really think its necessary to start another thread about it, seriously?

Also, the way you keep calling everyone childish, makes you seem childish yourself. And most of the people on this thread have not flamed you until you started to accuse them of such actions.

*Reassures GP2X that Gogeta insnt real*

:) I'm pleased to see people getting annoyed by me, proves I'm right at some degree.
dont get me wrong, i like my gp2x and play some things to hell, like the gorgeous mame and megadrive emulators
its just that i really needed to point out those problems are really software-related and that ney gotta be fixed, as its a matter of some days of work for GPH, not months :p

Actually rather hilariously. If that is really what your GP2X screen looks like I am kind of surprised?! Mine isn't like that at all it is pretty much crystal clear.

Gogeta, from the look of things it seem that you are only here to incite flames.

I was really expecting for someone to say their screen is not like this hahaha :D and to prove it, i suppose someone will make a blurry video of the screen (which looks ok if distant or unfocused) :p
