A quick mod that improved my game playing no end - especially kung fu master.

Due to a motorbike accident breaking the base of my left thumb (poxy diesel spill), it's a bit restricted in its movement which means using the joystick/button is difficult at best.

So a couple of hardware homebrew minutes later and all was well again :-

1. Pull off the existing joystick/button (don't unscrew it as it simply pulls off).
2. Remove the innards from a Bic biro (or similar).
3. Cut the last 2cm from the clean / inkless end of the ink tube
4. Push it onto the joystick/button stalk
5. Trim to comfortable size (mine is around 14mm but I'm not one to boast).

P.S. If it goes wrong and things break etc etc, I'm not gonna hold my hand up as being responsible.

What does this actually change?

Does it reduce the dead zone (because I'm fine with it), or does it make it less stiff or what?

If your joystick/button has a problem, this mod is not going to fix it. It just made it easier and more accurate for me to change direction + it meant that my thumb didn't keep slipping off.
