Should we offer this guy infant children or what? Who's with me?

that'll slow down his work. ;P

Granted I understand how underwhelming it can be without sond but to atleast see if it has potential before people start offering their first born.

I would but I don't understand the whole making scripts thing mentioned on the download page.

Doesnt work well yet, I only managed to run a small game but with lots of glitches. It's a start though, and it'll be one more reason to get a Gp2x when it becomes better. Thanks nickspoon!

I have only gotten a handful of flash cartoons to work.

Using firefox with this plugin you can download online flash cartoons to test.

(restart firefox to enable plugin)

At eskimo bob, I have tried episode 1, under episodes (click on bob to enter the site)
http://www.eskimobob.com

With the firefox plugin, start episode 1, right click anywhere except on the cartoon (ie. somewhere in the background of the browser), and select embedded download.

The script should simply be a text file (created in notepad, not wordpad) called bob.gpe, place it and the flashplay executable in some folder (/flash)
with the text
./flashplay bob.swf

where you have renamed the bob episode 1 to bob.swf, and placed that in the same folder.

Enjoy.

You can download flash movies without a plugin in firefox 1.0.7, just go to Tools>Page Info>Media tab and save the enbeded SWF that shows up right there. For flash that opens up in a new window just right click in the window (not on the flash itself) and veiw source, 80% of the time the direct link is simple to find so you enter that into the window and if brings it right up for you to save directly.

Thanks for the info on making the script I just tried it with a couple of flashes. Maddness Combat didn't play at all and the Hong Kong Fooey Anime flash started but resets after the title, I may try some of the Xiao Xiao movies tomarrow assuming someone else dosent try them first.

If you are using IE you can copy any *.swf you have downloaded out of your internet cache.

C:\Documents and Settings\*Username*\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\

for example is where it would be on a WinXP machine, for Win98 it would be

C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\

The files and folders in here are invisible, so do a search of the folder for *.swf and they will show up in the search.
