Where can I find the complete firmware ( not just upgrades , the complete linux system ) installed in gp2x?
As it's a open source system I assume it's not illegal to distribute it, right?

PS: I don't have an gp2x so pls don't tell me to use mine :p ...

It's downloadable from here (in source form): http://archive.gp2x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,46

An no, it isn't illegal to distribute it. GPH doesn't have to give you a copy of the source because you don't own the binary version (i.e. a GP2x) but they can't stop anyone else from giving it away as gp2x.de is doing... Not that they'd want to anyway I'm sure.

The joys of the GPL. :)

also, now that I have the gp2x linux distro, do you know a software arm9 emulator so I can try to simulate gp2x :D

You'll need more than an ARM emulator to simulate the gp2x. But to answer your question there's probably an open source GP32 emulator you can look at.

*prints copy of GPL and helps nickspoon hit Alex and tapiiri

tapiiri, if it was BSD we would have never gotten the source from GPH.
