Gp2x For Sale.

Why don't you just keep it for when the dev improves, at the rate this thing is launching, something tells me every linux fan will want one soon enough heh heh heh.

I don't think cell phones will offer that variety of software. I have one a quite new one, but I would never think of playing gameboy color or something on it, it's just awkward. Ok if you aren't into gaming then I see atleast a reason why you want to get rid of it - however I don't see one why you actually bought one ^^

Its not a cellphone, its an internet tablet. Running on Maemo based on debian so you can see theres a wealth of potential there too.

some people here seem to be preaching about what you "should" be charging for a used gp2x. they seem to forget that this is the age of eBay where stupid people pay near retail price and very often ABOVE retail price for items they can purchase NEW from their local stores.

dump it on eBay and you'll probably get 190 for it

it's not really about "paying near or above retail" is about the convience that some retails will not or cannot, offer.

If u read the auction, it includes a CD with emulators and every C64 game.

some people wouldn't mind paying extra $ for the C64 games just to save the hassle and time.

let me put it this way. I make $32 an hour. if someone offer all the SNES roms on a CD along with a gp2x for $40 more than retail. I would gladly get it because it will save me countless time and hour to collect it myself. thus if it saves me even 2 hours of my time from looking for the ROMs I'm ahead $20....
I will bid on the auction on ebay because retail outlet will not offer the "SNES ROM CD" with the gp2x unit. you can call me an idiot all your want for bidding more than retail.

but for a unemployed or kiddie that have nothing but spare time. the $40 will seem like a ripoff because they are not generating enough income for their time.

mhh you lost $2.13 while typing your post, it's nice that you can afford a few spare minutes ;)

-Oh and it's not like you download every single rom seperately, it's more like loading them all at once ^^

Why don't you just pay some punk kid to do it for you, six bucks says he can find the files better then the ebay person, plus you can get him to do it for half as much :p

the time it takes me to find a punk and to have him meet me in person is not a accetable risk and effort

True

Besides: We all know the name of the knowledgeable "punk kid" on the net ;) It's google... you only need to ask him the right questions and you get everything you want(in the virtual world of course ^^) :)

I forgot, i can rip a punk kid out of any given place due to situation and age.

/e sighs, plus a cd isn't hard to find for those with the bandwidth to find them :p, i bet i could find the same cd in 5 minutes. Unless your broadband gets 32 bucks an hour too.

edit-- just for fun, i found a decent 230 meg c64 torrent (thats alot of c64 stuff) in under a minute, just to prove my point... but i of course wont tell you how or where.

That's a fine one, however it doesn't compare to the 7GB one I found :p

Max i found with a different approach was 3 gigs, i bow to you in your scrounging powers! The 230 megs was just my first search string haha, im just lazy cause i don't care enough at the moment :p.

However I have yet to download that 7gb monster(it is 120.000 roms big incl. lot's of PD stuff)... I have limited transfer and am at the limit for that month, next year I'm going to get it ^^

Anyway, back on topic, please, the terms of the warrenty, and an approximate location of where you live haha! (I for some reason prefer shorter paths of delevery cause of my general distrust of the us mail system)

How did i miss that!, my bad haha.

Actually it was probably cause it was an edit, i tend to miss edited posts if their content changed.
