i clean mine with whatever is readily available. I have a screen protector so If i scratch it up too much I can just take it off and buy a new one (only $6)

haha.

is there anywhere to buy replacement screens protectors yet?

i think ill pick up a couple.
when you say protectors do you mean the thin screen protectors or the large hard-plastic screen protector that comes with the unit? I was referring to the thin ones, i don't know if you can get the thicker ones anywhere...

I'd like to see you "just" taking the hard protector off

edit: oh I see you meant the extra protector... -Was allready wondering where you got another hard one from ^^

i mean the hard screen protector, the actual thick plastic bit, i wouldnt mind having a couple cause accidents do happen no matter how careful you are and it can get scratched / marked badly, so hving a couple spare would be great. id pay £1.50-3.00 for a replacement screen protector.

Can you actually remove the hard screen protector and if so are there any available? Mine already came with scratches on it when I opened up my gp2x for the first time today.

its stuck on by sticky stuff under it, so it would come off, and since its scratched anyway and you would be removing it to put on a new one, you wouldnt care if you damaged the screen removing it, so you could easily prise it off

I clean mine with steel wool. Well not really but I don't worry too much about scratching as I have a glass screen cover :)

yea i opened mine today and it had stuff all in it, I tried cleaning it a bit but then it was worse when I put it on. I'll get it off and put a thin one on

have those of you who feel your screen protector is badly marked removed the thin film of plastic off the front? it's not easy to spot if you don't know it's there.

Indeed your screen covers are not pre-scratched, they have a plastic screen protector on them that you have to peel off to have the nice glossy plastic, Personally I'm not taking mine off untill I get those official ones from GP32Z.
