I was wondering if they're are any plans to develop a Wonderswan/Color/Crystal emu on the GP2X (or if one was developed on the GP32). The main reason I'm asking is that some of the WSC games have caught my eye recently... I want to be able to play them portable, but not have to search for the games on eBay... (and backlighting does help too), I'm sorry if this is a n00b question but I wanted to know before I bid on a WSC on eBay...

Wonderswan games all looked great, but did they ever come in any other language then Japanese?

^some did such as front mission... but the system and games were never released formally outside of Japan... Some games looked really nice (such as the FF1 port that didn't have the issue of being dumbed down like the GBA version)... Some of the games are exclusive Wonderswan (such as bandai properties)... I mostly just want to emu SE games... and most of them require little Kanji knowledge... but yeah, i'm more into being able to play the WSC FF1 port...

There is a wonderswan emulator for GP32 developed by Rattboi, it is called WonderBoi. It is nice, but slow, and lacking sound. I don't know if he plans on ported/developing for the GP2X or not though. Almost all the games for it are in Japanese, but there are some great one for it. Some of them have been translated/hacked into other language. My personal fav is the updated Final Fantasy 1 w/ the English translation. I still play that one on WonderBoi.

well If worse comes to worse, i'm learning C++ right now, so in the near future I can start development on one... but yeah, i'd rather not have to code it myself, seeing as I just learned the difference between an int and a string today ^-^

considering how cheaply you could pick up a WSC and a copy of FF, i'd probably go for the real thing if you're a big FF fan.

yeah but I dislike eBay greatly... Besides, I wouldn't have to carry around WSC carts which would be nice... But most of all, I'd like to be able to play it on the TV screen where one is available and have it portable for when I leave the house (which, considering i'm in Band, is a lot)

Please, elaborate. Does the japanese game have language selection? I'd love to actually play something on my Crystal, and FM is an exellent game.

I have FF1 and FF2 for, and a WS Color, also... Language barrier is rather steep, and flash-carts, while they exist, are hard to find.

actually, from what i heard. Front Mission for the WSC didn't have any Japanese in it at all... it was completely in English...
