I don't want to sound ungrateful about the stuff thats release on the gp2x, but I thought by now loads of good stuff would have been released for it. That it would have a megadrive/genesis and a snes emulator running close to full speed. Gbax has had the gp2x since the beginning of october, u would have thought some software developers would have had their hands on the gp2x around the same time.

The first Koreans got their units two weeks ago.

Precious few devs around the world have had units for, oh, six weeks?

And we have at least five games just for the GP2X, and - on top of those - at least three emulators as of today. And Quake, Quake II, and Hexen.

I consider than none too shabby for two weeks. But hey, I'm nuts, aren't I? I mean, I wear pants pretty often, if you can believe it.

I only got mine yesturday, so I've not even had time to start writing anything. I just though peeps would have got them earlier that 2 weeks ago. To all the peeps that are releasing stuff keep up the good work.

Would be nice if they got a commercial game out soon though to really show it off.

Hopefully the original poster plans on donating to all the homebrewers if he is so desperate.

You just need to be patient. A lot of devs now have the devices, and it's clear that they're excited about it. I'm fairly certain they're not being lazy!

About commercial games, i dont think there will be any released before the official launch (first quater 2006), if at all.

Vimacs, hasn't there been a lot of vague talk to the effect commercial games are in the works? I'd be surprised by any significant release outside Korea, but still...

Bl**dy devvers. Bet they're sleeping nights and going to their jobs in the day instead of making us free stuff. B*st*rds !

I thought the opisite, did not expect there to be as much stuff released as there has been and to such a good standard.

Does anyone know who, if anyone is working on MAME.?

Cheers

haha, nice first post here, Adgloride! :p

Just be glad you got your dam unit, I am still refreshing my mailbox on the hour.

The Gp32 took about 6 months before anything really started to take off iirc, and it was still pretty slow 14 months after release... give the machine a little time. For 2 weeks, its not doing badly (it's currently at about the same stage the GP32 was when I first bought it, minus SMS and GB emulation unfortunately, and *with* NGCD partial emulation, let alone Quake, Hexen, and (rather slow, but hey) Quake 2 - which are cool to say the least.).

Just put Bubble2x on or whatever it's called and get hooked... my high score is 405 or thereabouts :)
