Hi to all users on this board ;) .
I preordered my gp2x from lik-sang (delivers on 30th november) so I hope all these nasty firm(hard)ware bugs will be fixed when the production really starts. My question is about the SD Cards: As far as I know there are of course different sizes, I'd buy a 2GB-one ( bug to be fixed, I know ;) ) but I wonder which speed would be best? I heard that NAND flash gets broken if you have to much swapping (read/write) process going on ... I don't know if thats true or how this should affect my decision... of course games and stuff would load faster with a ultraspeed 150x, but is that worth it? Did anyone have the chance to test it, or overall, in which case is a higher speed usefull at all? Is there a minimum speed to play videos flawlessly??
You see, lots of question, I hope someone can kindly help me :) .
Thanks

I believe that the current driver only supports up to a certian speend making the higher speeds redundent on the GP2X but transfers with be faster if you use card reader on the PC to the SD.

thanks for the answers so far... I knew about that other thread but I couldn't really make sense out of it...
thanks

EDIT: Well, and before starting another topic just cause of it, here is another question:
I guess some of you guys already have got 3G cellphones, and their bandwidth with 386kbps is ok for basic surfing.... I own a LG 8xxx 3G phone myself and I actually wonder if it would be possible to port a little browser to the gp2x (well thats possible for sure I guess) and write some drivers so you can access the internet through your 3G phone in case you got a subscription... 3G != WLAN access, am I right? :/

You mean connect to your phone by bluetooth/serial?
I actually talk about connecting it via the USB port... but the cable the LG ships with got a proprietary phone port and a big usb port... but I guess the GP2X has got a D-USB port (small one) ? Do you know if there are USB cables with small ports on both sides? I would need this to be able to connect the gp2x to a music player, because if one of them got USB Host I could transfer data (I think both do, or at least the gp2x will do in some time)....
