Considering, that GBAX ships worldwide, it would be waste of resources to ship a british, or korean power supply unit to someone in, say, Germany. It would also cost a lot more to ship, those things are rather heavy.

And multisetting PSU's are cheap.

gbax ok but how about gamepark ? i mean they don't put a power supply in the box?
i mean if you buy a psp or a DS at a shop who ships orldwide, you get the adaper anyway (japanese DS adapter is ALL but heavy for example ;) i'd say ... let's see.... 20 grams? )

But DS and PSP use rechargeable, proprietary battery packs... Which recharge inside the unit. You could not get them to function at all without a PSU. 2X uses baic batteries, a PSU isn't strictly needed. Sony and Ninty would have hell to pay if they'd just instruct people to get a PSU from the local hardware-store...

And, I seem to recall, that some shops pack an adapter for such countries, which use the same voltage as japanese. The kind that enables one to actually connect the thing into the wall socket.

if you buyd a old gameboy (old, pocket, color, adcance (not sp or pocket)) yo wont get a PSU either. It is just normal since they use normal batteries.
Also it would be stupid to send a psu with the unit that wont work in almost all countries and force gamepark, a really small company, to include a psu for every country, thats just crazy.
come on, get one yourself, they are really cheap.

I've got one of these things lying around the place somewhere

it's for my Gameboy advance, it replaces the 2AA batteries with one large rechargable battery and you can use it to run off the mains as well. It sticks out a bit but can probably be hacked to fit the GP2X. Not sure how long the rechargables last for after a full charge but it is quite handy. Pretty sure I have a car adapter for the GBA lying around as well

They will do until GamePark comes up with something else
