So what are the chances.

Enjoy Games with GPX2 now!
CPU which has 2D accelerator enables you enjoy games anytime anywhere. Meet the exclusive GPX2 games along with abundant emulators such as MAME, SNES, Genesis, PC Engine etc

like so many games, a lot will depend if they are being ported or emulated. I guess that if they are ported, a lot more is possible.

I really doubt we'll see many commercial games for GPX2. They didn't do well on GP32, most users just play emus and homebrew. GPX2 looks to be aimed at that same type of user.

But as someone who bought and enjoyed several commercial games on GP32, I'd certainly like to see a few good ones.

Blood Cross, assuming it's actually completed would be nice. So would a sequel to Her Knights, maybe with some platforming mixed in. And a port of Blue Angelo with some enhancements perhaps.

I dont see the GPx2 getting many sequels of GP32 games... I do think we'll see a few commercial games but not many more than the GP32 got. Although I think it'll be easier for those games to be produced as it seems the lines of communications with developers will be pretty open if their customer feedback system is any indication.

Of the few Commercial games for GP32 I did play, I didn't play for long. There is no point in buying the GPx2 if commercial is your thing.
Having said that I did Play Blood Cross a hell of a lot but the lack of stages and charaters in the demo just made it boring. I would welcome a full version but I don't think, like Alpha2 said, there will be many, if any, sequels.

It sounds spectacular but it's not too likely.

As for the lack of levels in the demo..... yeah. That dosent stop me from enjoying the heck out of it though. I played the Demo for Her Knights and was all for buying the full version but missed my chance I bought DyHard as My first game and it was a nice diversion and I still play it from time to time. I didn't get Blue Angelo either because of expenses and timing

The games that were on the horizon were ambitious though even for 2D games which makes me hope that developers like these if not these exact same people will look towards the GPx2 as a viable platform for their small start up dev houses.

When I visited Gamepark Holding last year, Byulbram, creator of Bloody Fight and Her Knight was their employee (I met him personally :). So if he still works for GPH we have big chances for Blood Cross for GPx2 (GP32 version wasn't finished because of his doctor thesis - very time consuming stuff :) and maybe Her Knight 2 (my wish ;)

Ah that's great news. I would LOVE to see more work from Byulbram Creature. I was just playing Her Knights last night, and that game is very good. A little rough on the edges (especially the engRish, hehe) but a very deep control system for a beat'em up and it gets HARD. :p

Blood Cross was certainly off to a good start, so a finished version using the GPX2's SNES control layout, some nice clean audio tracks and perhaps some extra animation frames (hey we have 64MB RAM now!) would make for a kickass launch title.

I know most GP32 users aren't into buying games, but some of us are.

Well, Hando and me at least. :D

HEY HANDO - how about an article with details on your trip to GPH? Or did you write one already and I missed it?
