Try to rub off all the graphite on the resistor. The same happened to me once and that did the trick. I used an ordinary rubber gum and after that an alcohol dipped cotton-stick (don't know the word in English.. in Sweden we call them "Tops" ;) ) to remove any remaining graphite. Don't use much alcohol though, only dip it quickly. It's not supposed to be completely soaked. This should restore your GP to the original clocking capability.

Cheers!

thanks for the info, i'll give it a try!

I also need to look at the d-pad, as i removed it and now it seems very spongy since i put it back on, but when i take it off, it seems to click just fine!???

My flu broke last year and i sent it to mashmods.com. . . im not sure if they are still doing gp32 repairs tho :(

I would help you but i have no idea what you should do. I have a nlu and have never heard of anyone fixing/reinstalling a front light....sorry.

mrbean, give a little more description of how its broken and how you broke it. Maybe we can shed some light on your situation. Although if you dont feel like worying about it just duct tape a flashlight to your head and cover it up with a hat/wig when your not playing your gp32. It will probably stick there for a few weeks before needing another layer. good luck
