I haven't heard anything about fday in a very long time. No updates on Rlyeh's board, no new betas, nothing, since the GBAX compo. Is this still being worked on? Anyone heard anything?

Blimey you make it sound like the GBAX compo was ages ago :D

Give the bloke a chance it must take ages to code all those emulators.
But Dave's a beta tester, and one would think he should be receiving betas...

I hope it's still happening... :(

Well, Rlyeh broke the relationship with his girlfriend and had to move to a new home, had some holidays... give him a break :)

It's not cancelled or anything :)

Yeah he definitely deserves a break, it can be quite hard to work under those circunstances ;(

Real life is a bitch.

Sorry to hear about his relationship problems and not just because it pushes Fday back. I hope it was a mutal breakup and not a bitter angry slugfest.

That is fine. I wasn't whining or anything I was just wondering as I haven't heard anything for a while. I am not as "in the know" as you so that is why I asked.

There's no reason why it wouldn't be.

You never know. All of this talk of a new system may have made him decide to blow off the GP32 and wait for the new one or something.

I really don't think that private issues (even though he mentioned that in #gp32dev) are things that have to be discussed in public here.

And AFAIR he also mentioned it at a post he made at this board recently.
So it's not secret (I wouldn't have mentioned it... I have enough secrets I'm not allowed to mention ;))

It was just an information, nothing to be discussed.

With the new handhelds coming from Gamepark and Gamepark Holdings, I'd sort of forgotten about F-day. It does seem a shame that all his work might not be as appreciated as it should be as the GPX2 won't be backwards compatable.

I would be really happy if the f-day will happen at all and appreciate his work (and the work of the other developers) even now.
OT: Is somebody using fCOL32 f-day preview version? In the previous version there was a virtual keyboard (of the Coleco joypad). I can't find/get it in the f-day preview version. Any hints?

the f-day emulators will be made opensource and so they will be easily portable to gpx2 or xgp.. :) and dreamcast maybe :p damn that's going to be like the best day of this year

Since all current f-Day emulators are based on the same modules and the Virtual Keyboard module isn't finished yet, it's not implemented :)

The f-day is in danger :( Rlyeh has lose a lot of work due to a power failure. He is trying to restore the data from the HD but without luck.

Aww nuts! Not another GP32 project down the drain thanks to data loss. I feel sorry for Rlyeh, hope he can fix it :(
