they go for about the same price on ebay(anyone know of an alternative source?).
which is better and why?

hmmm aren't they both the same internally?

if there is ANY difference between them, the only thing I've ever heard is that one can be mod chipped and the other cannot (for playing imports and burn games), but you dont' NEED a modchip anyways, it's a very easy trick to make an unmodded saturn play burns and you can play imports with an ST Key.

They are both damn cool looking though, but I think I'd prefer the grey one.

Do you mean the CD swapping trick? Do you know if you need some special CDs for this, as I read somewhere that it will only read the really old blue CD-Rs?

soon as i get paid i'll get a white saturn then ;) and yeah that swap trick...i don't think i need it as i'm going to buy all the games, but i may need to pirate radiant silver gun(>$100!!! heeell no).

right now i picked up the special edition box of policenauts and i'm SOO psyched.

yeah you can play burns with the CD swap trick. And so far I haven't had any problem with it not running newer CD-R's. I use Imation or Memorex CD-R's, and have burned a lot of backup games for my Saturn. I use an ST key to take care of playing the imports, using it also helps make the swap trick easier.

Radiant Silvergun is probably the ONLY game I would pay $100+ for... I've gotten so much out of that game, best shooter ever IMO... I've played thru it countless times, put well over 30 hours of playtime into it. It's THE reason I still own a saturn.

well, forget the white and the grey, i picked up a 'this is cool' transparent black saturn :)
now i'm off to pick up those shmups

i'd love to :D the saturn has yet to arrive, adn i'll pick up a digicam next week or jack my friend's

Can anyone recommend some really good saturn games? I'm thinking of picking one up but the only games I want so far are Radiant Silvergun and Mr Bones. Looks like there's a couple of good light gun games too but I don't fancy buying yet another light gun.

Some of my fav games I have for my Saturn are below, some were better on other systems but I still love the Saturn!

Sega Rally
Manx TT
Duke Nukem
Quake
Sonic Jam (Sonic 1,2,3 etc)
Virtua Fighter Series
Virtua Racing
Daytona USA
Nights
Virtua Cop series

So many more, to many to list...

Steve.

I thought i wanted a white / gray saturn and looked and looked on ebay. I saw that they costed around 60 dollars and then another 60 dollars for shipping. I then decided screw the white one and I got a black one w/ an action replay card and 10 games for around the same price as just the console

yeah, but i really wanted a jp saturn 2nd model.

and eyah, saturn games are cheap, no point in copying(cept $200 games like radiant siver gun).

i'v got the grey model, i really do recomend getting a game called "chibe mariko son" i tihnk thats how to spell it, or close, the game is like a puzzle and its really really good!!! BTW is the emulation the saturn any good though
